With every passing day, Taehyung is losing himself more and more.

It's already been four months since Jungkook has left him behind and the void of his mate's presence is eating up his life.

The first month he was completely drowning in anxiousness. Looking all over the news channels, any tabloids that would give even the slightest hint of Jungkook's health. Pestered Namjoon but his brother never told him anything.

For the second month and the third month he was being optimistic, assuring himself that his mate is just fine and everything is going smoothly. He convinced himself that his mate is doing well and he as a Luna should work so when Jungkook comes back he'll be proud of how his omega had handled the stress.

But by the end of the fourth month Taehyung lost all the enthusiasm he had to be the best omega and he shrunk into a lonely omega whose mate was ripped away from him.

He wasn't keeping up with his assignments, barely leaving the apartment and facing Mina's disappointed face as he starts to score zero in his tests.

Everything was going downhill for him and he knew Namjoon and Seokjin were scared seeing his health turn worse and worse everyday.

As days just kept passing, Taehyung lost his sense of time, those fake dates he needed to go were another burden because they went to places where he's had dates with Jungkook before.

Like that one time the clone and him went for a dinner in the high class restaurant, against the glass wall while the clone was hidden away by the maroon curtain Taehyung was left out to fake smiles and laughs for the media to capture.

Things were so different when he and Jungkook went there for their one of their dates, he was buzzing with excitement holding the bouquet of flowers close to his chest that his mate had given him.

They sat against the very glass wall but the curtains draped, hiding them away from the world. No media was involved at all; they made silly little jokes and fed each other food.

Jungkook had gifted him a ring, slipping the jewel in his fingers and it added to the many other jewels and gifts the head alpha had showered over him before he left.

"Why do you keep gifting me, darling? I already have enough!"

"It's because I love you and I also love to see you all pretty, love."

"So much love, huh?"

"I've said it before, love, your existence is what makes me believe that love is something that I can feel, of course I associate every aspect of that word with you."

How could Taehyung not want his mate back, right here beside him?

He's lonely without his other half. Alone.

Sleep as if it was stolen from his eyes, he lays there on the bed watching the sun rise. His eyes burn with tiredness; he can't even gather enough willpower to get up.

So just sighs, turning away from the rising sun holding Jungkook's pillow close to his nose, he throws it away when he realises that it had lost Jungkook's scent.

Desperately he scrambles around the nest he has made, pulling in all the clothing items and sniffing them, throwing them away when all he could catch a hint was of his own soured scent.

He screams, throat dry as he throws off everything, ripping out the clothes in shreds tearing the pillows off until all the cotton inside it floats around.

Once he's exhausted, he crashes back on the bed staring up ideally at the ceiling there is a burn under his muscles that sparkes the frustration he feels.
