Chapter 34 - Stay

Now, Taehyung gets why Jungkook told him to be courageous and brave four days ago.

The sudden situation of threat is already here, staring right Taehyung in the eyes as he watches Jungkook zip up his bag. He's travelling over to the south area of the pack where there is a nostoris group of alphas assaulting omegas.

Jungkook is going there, to do his duty of protecting the omegas, he's going there to fight all of those scumbags himself because those alphas had the guts to increase the rate of omegas they kidnapped and assaulted. 

A clear challenge, a bold action to insult Jungkook's post and his title.

The head alpha can't hold off anymore, the spies were already set up, the other alphas from the south, who aren't a part of that gang, who lost their mates due to these assaulters are siding with Jungkook.

It's going to be an operation, they are going to slowly kill all those alphas as secretly as they could, until each one of them is dead.

All this is going to take a while, it will take months and Taehyung really doesn't know when he'll see his mate again.

On top of that, not to bring attention towards Jungkook being in the south. The head alpha's clone is arranged, he doesn't look the same but his body matches with Jungkook's physic and that's more than enough.

Taehyung is supposed to be spotted with this clone out on dates, media would be involved on purpose and tabloids would be paid to show up on the top of controversial news sites. All this to convince everyone that Jungkook is still in the headquarters of Blue Moon and not around the south.

Because the moment that gang gets to know about Jungkook's personal involvement they would immediately be a threat to Taehyung's life.

"Love," Jungkook looks back, dressed up in a completely black attire just like the guards are to disguise himself as one, "do you think I'm missing something? Something I need to pack but have forgotten to?"

"Me." Taehyung points at him. "Pack me in one of the bags too."

Jungkook laughs walking towards the closer, getting on his knees in front of the omega taking Taehyung's slim, bony hands in his. "Whenever I go on such trips I lose a lot of my belongings." He whispers, resting his chin on the blonde's knees. "Don't want to lose you. You're the only one I have."

Even when Jungkook sounds playful, Taehyung can definitely read between the lines. The alpha isn't afraid of losing him, he is scared that Taehyung would somehow find himself in the wrong hands and die.

"What if I lose you?" Taehyung sniffles, eyes burning with tears but he blinks them away. 

"Then I want you to walk around Blue Moon with your chin held up in pride." Jungkook raises his own chin up. "Because your mate would die a brave's death, saving his people, not a coward's death of hiding away and I promise you that."

"I want you to promise me that you'll make it back as a hero of those people who you will save." Taehyung finally let's a sob, his heart hurts as he breathes out a heavy breath, lungs constricting. "We've been mated for just one month, there is so much more for us." He cries, bringing Jungkook's hands near his lips as he kisses the knuckles. "I wanna have pups, your pups… I want you to teach them how to become a werewolf like you… wanna grow old and wrinkly with you." The more he lists out his dreams the more his cries get louder. "So many things, you can't just die leaving me behind."

"I wish I could comfort you, love." Jungkook raises up and hugs his mate, pressing his lips all over Taehyung's flushed, tear staining face. "But I really don't know if I will make it back."
