Inuyasha The Movie: Affections Touching Across Time (Special Chapter)

Sakura's P. O. V:

I was out collecting herbs for medicine and was on my way back when a giant scorpion demon shows up.

I backflip to avoid its pincers and dump my medicinal herbs on the ground.

I unsheathe my twin katanas and evade another swipe of its pincers.

"Where did this thing even come from?" I think before my blue eyes narrow towards the tip of its barbed tail. A bright light is emitted from it, causing me to let out a gasp. "Is that a Shikon Jewel Shard?!"

My eyes harden as I dodge another attack. I'd better end this quick so I can give the shard to Kagome.

I jump back to avoid yet another attack before I ready my swords. "Trinity Sword!" I swipe swiftly for the scorpion's pincers and cut clean through one. I ready my next attack but I feel something slam into me and I'm sent sailing into a tree. "Ack!!" I cry out as my right side hits the tree and I collapse, my swords clattering to the floor. A roar from the demon causes me to jerk my head up with a gasp, seeing the demon about to bring a pincer down on me.

I couldn't get away fast enough...

I brace myself before...

"Kenatsu." Needles of energy are shot at the scorpion demon, halting it short of striking me.

"Slashing Form!" Shinobu was there and slashes his long sword down the demon. Sesshomaru stands protectively in front of me, hard gaze trained on the demon. Shinobu lands beside him, turning his concerned gaze to me. Karina runs up to me, meowing in concern.

"Are you okay, sister?" He asks.

I nod as I manage to sit up, clutching my side. "I'm fine. What are you doing here?"

Shinobu answers, "You we're taking too long so Sesshomaru-sama came to look for you. I tagged along as well. Jaken-sama is staying back with Rin to protect her."

"That's good," I say as I use the tree to help me to stand up.

"What exactly is going on here?" Inquires Sesshomaru.

I respond, "I was on my way back when this demon suddenly showed up. It has a shard of the Shikon Jewel embedded in its tail tip." Here, Sesshomaru glances at me before gazing towards the tip of the tail, understanding glimmering in his golden eyes. "I need to get it back to Kagome."

"Very well," Says Sesshomaru as he readies his Tokijin. "I shall end it in one swipe. Dragon Strike." Blue energy is shot out of his sword in the form of a dragon's claw. It races forwards and strikes the scorpion head-on, causing it to scream in fury. The demon collapses.

I smile at my boyfriend as I compliment, "Nice shot, Sesshy-kun!" He just huffs one response, gaze trained on the demon. But I couldn't help but think it was too easy... I go over to retrieve the shard, feeling grossed out by the demon, when it suddenly regenerates and roars, moong to attack me.

I exclaim in surprise but a long green whip of energy wraps tightly around my skin waist and I'm pulled backwards. A strong arm catches me and Sesshomaru leaps away before the pincer could hit us. Karina grows larger and snatches up my little brother in her jaws before leaping away to safety.

Sesshomaru lands and spins lightly towards the demon as I cling to him, feeling my heart pounding. Sesshomaru asks me in concern, "Are you alright?"

I nod my head as I reply, "Uh huh. Thank you for saving me. Sorry. I guess I was just a little grossed out by the demon's form before..." Sesshomaru just gazes at me with an unreadable look. He sets me down carefully and we face the scorpion. Something seems weird about it... I can't quite put my finger on it, though...
