We return to the dragon and horses, who are now on their feet. Rin, the little girl as she'd told us her name before, runs up to the dragon.
"I'm going to name you A," She says, pointing to the right head, then to the left, "and you Un! A-Un!"
I say in an impressed tone as Karina goes up to Rin, "That means alpha and omega. I wonder why I didn't think of that."
"And you say you're smart," Mutters Jaken. My eye twitches and I stomp on him, making Jaken cry out, as I head over to Miyu and Shinobu gets Seiji.
"These are Miyu and Seiji, and the nekomata there is Karina. She can turn into a sabertooth tiger and fly," I tell her. Karina jumps into Rin's arms and purrs as Rin pats her.
"She so cute and furry!"
Shinobu and I tack up the horses and Sesshomaru orders, "Let's go." Sesshomaru makes sure to keep his pace with mine as we walk. I look back with a soft smile to see Rin and Shinobu walking next to each other, Jaken leading A-Un behind us.
"I'm really happy you let her come with us," I say, gazing back at Sesshomaru. Rin has also told us about what had happened to her family who were killed by thieves and that her village was massacred by wolves.
A young wolf leader had given the order. He'd better hope I don't catch him, or I'll make him pay for what he did to Rin.
"I didn't care what she did," Sesshomaru says. I smile a little, knowing he secretly wanted her with us. We travel for the rest of the day and stop at sunset. Shinobu and I remove the horse's saddles and tie them at trees, before we feed and water them. Rin gets a fire going before standing at the hill, watching the sun set.
"It's so pretty!" She says. The rest of us join her, Sesshomaru standing between me and Jaken.
I smile as I silently agree, ignoring the fact that I feel Sesshomaru staring at me, instead of the sunset.

Rin says to Shinobu, "Shinobu-kun, I've noticed that your sister has been very motherly towards me and you. Has she always been like this?"
Shinobu nods his head. "Pretty much." His blue eyes turn soft at a memory. "When our parents were killed, I tried so hard to remember what my mother looked like. The only face that came to mind was nee-chan's. I guess it's because she's so much like our mother already that she's become as such to me."
