"Good morning, Princess." Eddie kisses my temple gently. I hum and roll over to nuzzle in close. "Merry Christmas." I whisper into Eddie's cheek.

Things between me and Eddie have been amazing. He treats me like a queen while I treat him like a king. My parents have even started letting him stay over. Wayne got called into work last night and I didn't want Eddie to wake up alone on Christmas, so I convinced my parents to let him stay with us.

"Kids! Time for gifts!" My mother yells up the stairs. "Let's go!" I say excitedly as I pull the covers off Eddie. I toss him his shirt and run into Steve's room. I jump on his bed to wake him up, "Come on, Steve!" He groans and pulls the covers over his head right before I pull them off his bed entirely.

"Delaina!" He shouts. I grab a pair of sweats from his dresser and throw them at him. I run out of the room and square into Eddie. He wraps his arm around my waist to catch me before I fall. "Woah! Someone's excited." He says before planting a quick kiss on my lips.

I grab his hand and lead him down the stairs. Steve isn't too far behind us when we take a seat on the couch. My mother is seated by the tree and my father is taking pictures. "Steve, this one's yours." My mother says as she hands Steve a bag.

"Sweet! A new jacket! Thanks, guys!" Steve puts the jacket on the second he opens it. Next, my mother hands Eddie a card and he looks at her confused. "That's for you." She smiles at him and nods for him to open it. His eyes go wide as opens it to find tickets inside.

"Metallica tickets?" He asks, holding back his excitement. "Can I hug you guys?" He looks from my mother to my father. They both move toward him and he practically jumps into their arms, "Thank you both so much! This means the world to me!"

"Of course, sweetie. There's 3 in there, so you can take your uncle too." My mother smiles at him and places her hand on his cheek briefly. Eddie rejoins me and Steve on the sofa, and my mother goes back to her spot by the tree. She gets comfortable again and then hands me a box.

I basically tear the box in half with how excited I am. Once it's open I see a dress. The exact dress that I'd been wanting for a few weeks now. "How'd you know I wanted this?" I ask as tears of joy fill my eyes. They don't say anything and just look at Eddie who smiles at me.

"I saw you looking at it when we went shopping last week. I had already bought your gift though, so I told your parents because I knew they hadn't figured out what to get you yet." Eddie explains, handing me a little box. Tears begin to flow down my cheeks as I take the box from him.

"Wait. Eddie, this is what Delaina got you. I think you should open them together!" My mother hands Eddie a box that's a little bit bigger than the one I'm holding. "Okay, go ahead." She smiles and nods at us.

We both open our boxes, mine revealing a silver promise ring and his revealing a gold watch. We hug each other tight and pull back to kiss each other several quick kisses. Both of us are now crying when he puts the ring on my hand and I put the watch on his wrist, replacing his old one.

"Thank you so much!" We both say in unison before bursting into laughter. I turn to look at my parents, "And thank you guys too. I love you all so much!" I pull everyone into a hug. "We love you too." My father says then kisses my forehead.

I dig through my closet and dresser to find an outfit while Eddie sits at my desk. "So, what's your promise?" I ask with my back turned as I pull out a shirt and throw it on my bed. I grab a pair of jeans and throw them over with my shirt.

Eddie grabs my waist and pulls me onto his lap. I put an arm around his shoulder and the other on his chest. He puts his lips to mine and holds me tight. He pulls away from the kiss and presses his head to mine.

"I promise to love you forever. I promise to always open doors for you. I promise to leave you notes around our house. I promise to tell you how beautiful you are, each and every day. I promise that I will always be yours. Delaina Harrington, I promise to you that we will be married one day."

He kisses me softly and then stands up, still holding me in his arms. He walks us over to the bed and sets me down. "Get dressed beautiful," He pauses and hands me my shirt before continuing, "We've got plans today."

I smile at him and quickly get changed. He uses his bandana as a blindfold, because mine is in my hair, and leads me out to his van. I have absolutely no idea where he's taking me, but it must be good if I'm blindfolded.

Finally, I'm standing outside with Eddie behind me. "Okay, here we are m'lady." He whispers in my ear and removes my blindfold. In front of me stands a small two-story house. "What's this?" I ask him confused. "This is going to be our home after graduation." He responds.

He explains to me how his uncle helped him to put a down payment on the house. He also tells me that he starts a new job at the record store after New Years. "Best. Christmas. Ever." I say, giving him a kiss between each word. I guess it's a good thing Steve helped me get a job at Family Video a couple of weeks ago.

"Can I get a cat?" I ask abruptly during the drive back to my place. Eddie chuckles at my question, "As long as I can teach it cool tricks." His response to my question causes me to laugh as well. "Deal." I say after about a minute of laughter.

It's now time for dinner, so I have my new dress on. It's shorter than most you'd find, but it's still down to my knees. There's a small slit up the right side. On the top, there's a moderate v-cut and thin straps. The dress is black with a red sash across the waist.

"Wow! You look amazing!" I hear Steve say when I reach the bottom of the stairs. I smile when I enter the kitchen and see everyone gathered at the table, even Wayne and Sabrina. "He's right, you really do look fantastic! My beautiful princess." Eddie says when he reaches me at the doorway.

He takes my hand in his and leads me to the table. Eddie pulls my chair out for me. I smile and kiss his cheek before taking my seat. He sits down next to me, Wayne on his other side. Steve sits between my mother and Sabrina on the other side of the table, my father seated at the head.

Wayne says grace and then we all eat. We talk and laugh, enjoying the delicious dinner my mother prepared for us. I think this is the first Christmas that I have felt truly happy. I'm surrounded by people I love, who love me back just as much.

"Merry Christmas, everyone! Thank you for making this year one to remember." Wayne says with gratefulness in his voice. I take Eddie's hand and lay my head on his shoulder. My father stands up and turns on the radio, then holds his hand out for my mother. We watch as they dance around the living room when I hear our song come on.

"Shall we dance, m'lady?"
