that's the first message jisung opens when he wakes up from his long nap. he doesn't even realize he overslept and he is supposed to be getting ready for his shift at the bar. but first, he slaps himself to make sure he still isn't dreaming and then now just registers the fact that minho invited him over out of nowhere since they haven't met up in a couple days.

the text message disappears and comes back after a few seconds.

hell yeah does jisung know where he lives. he knows every turn and every street he'd have to pass to get there. knows all the main and alternate routes and the fastest ways to get to minho's mansion of a house. but the invitation is just a little bit out of the blue. he wants to ask the alpha why the sudden invitation, but he doesn't want to push it any further.
maybe minho just really wants to see him right now. that definitely gets jisung out of bed to get himself ready— extra ready, to see minho.
but honestly, jisung should have just stayed in bed tonight.
muscle memory; it's in jisung's arms and still knows the exact turns to get to minho's gated neighborhood. it's still as peaceful and welcoming as he last remembered it.
the night is quiet and the air has a slight ice to it. he shivers when he steps out of his car and looks over to where minho's house stands across the street.
all the memories he has made in there just come back to him all at once and he is reminded of how much of a place that his ex-boyfriend's house has in his heart.
he holds in a very strangled breath when he makes his way to the front door as calmly as possible. he sends himself a prayer and lets his finger linger on the doorbell before ultimately pressing on it. jisung waits, and he is sure that in just a few seconds, the person he expects to open the door will greet him and—
"jisungie?"
jisung's mouth gapes and all he could do was slowly put on a shy smile.
"auntie..."
auntie, or nanny lee. either one works. but jisung has known her for the longest time and she has known jisung for the longest time as well and that is over four years.
her presence makes jisung's heart swell with so much unburied warmth.
"jisungie, oh my!" she immediately collects the boy into her arms and jisung hugs her back with a sheepish smile on his face.
they hug for a good ten seconds before they pull away. auntie lee runs her hands down jisung's arms and brings her hands up to squish his cheeks, cooing when he let out a small whine of embarrassment.
"it's been so long, darling... how have you been?"
"i've been pretty well, auntie..." jisung laughs and hides the lies through it, "it's been a pretty eventful ten months."
"mmm," she hums, still looking up at the boy with admirable in her sunken eyes. "i never thought i would see you again, dear, we've missed you."
jisung's mouth hangs open and he blinks slowly, a rush of cold chills racking through his body. he lets out a small chuckle and smiles crookedly.
"i've missed you guys too, auntie."
you have no idea.
the woman's smile just grows even wider before looking over her shoulder and then back at the taller boy.
