Husker stared at the arachnid, taking in every little detail he could and committing it to memory. Reveling in the moment, he tried to wrap his head around everything that he'd just been told. Not only had the only person he'd truly loved been right in front of him for months, by now almost a year, but he'd also been falling for him all over again. Not to mention the revelation that Tony hadn't simply left and forgotten about him, but had died before he could come back. Angel pressed his cheek into Husker's palm and sighed. "You know... knowing what we know now, it definitely explains a lot of things." He cocked a brow and the spider smiled.

"Like?" Angel hummed at the question.

"Like... how I was attracted to you the moment saw you on that first day." The man rocked slightly and lightly ran his hands through the fur on Husker's stomach.

"No, I could tell that." Angel looked confused.

"Really?" Husker nodded.

"Angel, within the first five minutes of me being here you said you'd fuck yourself if I watched you." The other man cringed before covering his face.

"Okay, I might not be very good at being subtle anymore. Besides, it's a habit now to ask when I see a cute guy." Nodding, he slowly started to walk around the space.

"So... just... any cute guy. Doesn't matter who he is at all? Okay." Of course he was being sarcastic, because he knew now that Angel's job was tedious enough for such a knee jerk response.

"Oh come on! How the hell was I supposed to know it was you? I gave up trying to find you a long time ago, John. When I got here, clearly, waaaaay before you." The man threw his hands up and Husker fought a cringe. He couldn't blame Angel at all for his actions. In his defense, he'd felt the same way even after he'd died. That to find each other again was going to be a hopeful and futile attempt. Turning and looking at the man, he made sure not to smile and shook his head.

"After I was so faithful to you too. Never found love again. Just faced up to the fact that I was doomed to live a loveless afterlife with nothing to bring me joy." The droll look on Angel's face spoke volumes.

"Ya done?" Husker shrugged. "I did my job. Just because I hit on someone or find them attractive doesn't mean I love them." Husker's heart skipped a beat as he lost his breath. Staring at the man, he watched Angel give him a confused smile. "What?"

"I'm sorry, could you say that again?" The man shrugged.

"Just because ou think someone is attractive doesn't mean you-" He paused and immediately closed his mouth. Husker noticed the deep flush that crossed the man's cheeks and how he conveniently looked everywhere else around them but him. Stepping closer, he kept his gaze trained on the spider.

"Angel... what did you just say?" The man waved him off.

"You heard me the first time, so why should I repeat myself?" Angel started to walk around the space and Husker followed after him.

"Would I have asked you to repeat yourself if I had actually heard it?" Still, Angel didn't look at him and started making his way toward the door. Slipping by him, Husker jumped in front of him to block the path, and the arachnid finally looked up at him. "Just once more. Please?" The other man looked down at his hands, toying with his nails as he it his lip.

"I..." He took a deep breath and looked back up, meeting Husker's gaze. "I love you." It was three simple words that Angel probably heard, and said, millions of times. Whether it was true or not, it still had a part of Husker flying with his happiness. But what did he do now? It had been so long that he didn't know what to do now. Should he kiss him? But what if Angel didn't want to be kissed? In that case, should he ask first? What would he do if the man said no? "Okay, you're clearly over thinking something, 'cause it's written on your face. What is it?" Husker hesitated, but pushed himself to be more honest.

"Can I... Can I kiss you?" For some reason, Husker fully expected to be turned down, and he was ready to accept it and simply walk away from the idea completely. Instead, Angel took a step forward until they were mere inches away.

"Okay." The single word had him giddier than a school girl, and he had to take a deep breath and remind himself he was a grown ass man. Hell, he'd died older than his former lover, much older, not that it changed much. Swallowing down the nerves, Husker leaned forward and, for the first time in death, stole the spider's lips. The rush that came from the simple touch was more than he expected, and more than he had felt for any other. Pulling away was much harder than he felt it should have been, but he did regardless. Angel didn't move, and he didn't open his eyes. After a few seconds, the man bit his lip and smiled. "Please tell me that's not it."

Husker smiled with the consent, and pulled the arachnid close for another kiss, but a much deeper one this time. Angel's lips parted and he wasted no time slipping his tongue past them to wrap around the spider's. Meanwhile, his hands grabbed at Angel's waist, then slowly slid up and back until he was hold the man close. He felt Angel's arms shift before sliding around his neck. The man then began to pull him backwards as one hand was buried in his hair. When they reached the bench again, Angel spun them around and pushed him to sit. Husker obeyed, even though it broke their kiss, and gladly watched as his lover lifted a leg to kneel on the bench. Angel straddled his lap, pulling the dress up enough that it was no longer in the way before cupping his face and smiling. Husker slid his palms up the spider's thighs until he reached his hips, then back to cup his buttocks.

Angel leaned down and their lips met with another round of heat and passion that even the minty toothpaste flavor that still clung to his tongue couldn't remotely cool. The man's hands also began to wander while Husker slid a finger passed the band of his lover's underwear. He couldn't help but break the kiss on a quiet gasp when Angel found what he was looking for. The skillful way the man's hands rubbed him, easily had him as hard as a rock. Looking up at his lover, he found the man smiling. "Not gonna lie, you're bigger than I expected." Husker scoffed.

"Oh really? You couldn't possibly be scared, are you." Angel chuckled and carefully rubbed Husker in the most sensitive area, which made him grip the man tightly.

"Scared? No, babe." The spider leaned closer and pressed a kiss to his cheek. "Excited? Definitely." A breath later, his lover was shifting, slipping his underwear to the side and lining himself up. They were only a thrust away from Husker being fully engulfed inside of Angel when his ear twitched with the loud sound. A car horn. It wouldn't have been such a big deal, if it wasn't clearly outside the hotel. The driver slammed on the horn multiple times, the sound echoing in the enclosed garden until Husker had to flatten his ears to muffle the sound. Looking up at his lover, he could see the pure rage in those magenta eyes. "I'm gonna skin that motherfucker and make his ass a rug for the dirtiest place in this hotel." The realization sunk in that the honking horn was Angel's ride to the party. He knew that on occasions like this, Valentino would send a driver to pick him up so that everyone believed Angel was more well off than he was. It was to impress people, while also controlling the spider, to ensure that he wasn't remotely late. His lover whined for a moment before the honking became longer and more incessant. A low growl from both of them was the only other sound as Angel reluctantly slid off his lap and fixed his clothes. Once he was done, the man stole another kiss and tapped his nose lightly. "We will finish this later. Got that?"

Husker smiled and grabbed Angel's hand, kissing the back of it. "I promise, I'll wait. After all, I waited this long, didn't I?" His lover smiled and playfully slapped his shoulder.

"Stop that. I have work to do." watching the spider turn and head for the door, Husker took a deep breath.

"Tony," The other man stopped and looked back at him. "I love you." It didn't take a genius to see Angel flush.

"I love you too, John." The words were spoken softly, but he heard them clearly, and the smile he got had his heart skipping. A moment later, the arachnid was leaving the garden to head out front. Taking a deep breath, Husker looked down and cringed. Now, he had intended on putting clothes on anyways, but now he didn't have a choice but to sneak through the back hallways and avoid everyone until he got upstairs. Because there was definitely no way this was going down any time soon. Thinking back on the promise, Husker couldn't help but smile. If he hadn't had enough reason for tonight to go well before, he definitely did now.
