he pulled into a trailer park where he had recognized, but not sure from what. he slowly drove around looking for the van he had seen today.

he spotted it and pulled up next to it, putting his car in park, and walking up to the door with quivering hands.

"why am I so damn nervous?" Steve whispered to himself, whipping his hands on his pants, knocking on the door three times.

he waited as his leg bounced on the porch, hearing the door open to Eddie in a tank top and pajama pants. he looked up nervously at a confused face.

"Harrington? why are you here?" he questioned, looking around outside if he was just pulling some joke, then back to Steve.

"I just wanted to say sorry, I know I could've just said it at the concert but Robin forced me to come here. sorry if this is uh.. weird" he scratched the back of his neck, smiling nervously.

"hey man it's alright, feeling hungover is the worst" he patted Steve's shoulder, warming Steve up from his awkwardness.

"Thanks.." he looked down to his feet, feeling the silence between them.

"hey you wanna uh.. hang out? it's alright if not- I get it" Eddie asked while he fiddled with the hem of his tank top.

Steve let out a groan inside his head, he didn't want to step foot in there but he felt like shit already, so mine as well. "uh sure.. don't mind" he watched as Eddie lit up, stepping aside to signal Steve to come in.

"weren't you watching a movie with your uncle?" Steve asked, looking around at the surprisingly clean place.

"yeah but he's getting home late, so it's gonna be tomorrow" his voice fading away as he walked into his bedroom, walking back out with a sandwich bag.

"what's that?" Steve pointed his head to the bag.

"oh, it's weed" he dangled the bag in his fingers, his tongue placed on his lip. "want some?" he sat on the couch with a grunt.

"only had it once, old friend tried to get me into it" he shrugged, standing in the same spot.

"come on man! sit down, quit acting all awkward" he patted the spot next to him, rolling the blunt.

Steve cleared his throat, feeling awkward and regretting his decision. he walked over to the couch, sitting down with space between him and Eddie.

he had finished rolling it and lit it, taking a long smoke and breathing it out slow. then holding the drag out to Steve.

"just one" his head tilted with a smile.

Steve rolled his eyes, corners of his mouth pulling up as he grabbed it, taking a hit and blowing out. the smoke striking him in the chest, causing him to cough frantically.

"Jesus.." he said in between coughs, holding his chest with his hand.

"not so bad" Eddie took the drag back, taking a smoke and blowing out with ease.

"How can you— stand that?" His voice sounded as if he'd been punched in the gut.

"done it for a while" he replied, the blunt hanging on his lips before he took it out in between his fingers.

"yeah I can't, tastes like ass" Steve chuckled, feeling a little more comfortable.

"yeah alright," Eddie laughed as well, grabbing the remote with his free hand, "what you want to watch?"

Steve looked over to Eddie looking relaxed, spreading his legs apart as the hand with the blunt set in his knee. he quickly cleared his throat and looked to the tv, "what kind do you like?"

"horror, anything around that area" he stood up, grunting as he burnt out the blunt in the ashtray, moving up to the tv to find a movie to slide in.

"how about 'The Return of The Living Dead'?" he turned his head over his shoulder, looking to Steve who was leaning over with his elbows on his knees.

"uh sure, never watched it" he watched Eddie slip the movie in, returning to the couch a little closer to him than before.

"Well, you got me if you need something to hang on to when scared" he patted Steve's knee with a smirk, turning back to the tv.

"yeah right.." he leaned back, arms crossed to his chest focused on the movie.

an hour in and the movie had half an hour left, the room was silent besides small comments on the show Eddie made and Steves snickers.

Eddie slowly crept his arm around the back of the couch, quickly grabbing Steve's far shoulder, "ah!" he shouted, causing Steve to jump, cussing under his breath as he covered his face, Eddie laughing to himself.

"That's not funny," he mumbled in his hands, moving up to his eyes and leaning his head back into Eddie's arm unintentionally.

"sure as hell was! should have seen how hard you jumped" he cracked up more as the image popped back up in his head. Steve earned small laughs that he tried holding in.

Eddie wiped his eyes, looking to Steve who was now watching the movie, leaning forward with his head held in his hands. a smile crept on his face as he forced his gaze to fall on the movie, his arm still on the back of the couch.

the movie ended, Steve feeling tired out of his mind.

"hey man, I should get home. I got work tomorrow" he yawned, stretching his arms up while he stood from the couch.

"oh alright," he stood up as well, walking to the door as so did Steve.

"Thanks for hanging out Harrington. even if you hated it, I appreciate it" Eddie thanked with a smile.

"of course man, promise I won't be a dick again" Eddie's smile reflected on himself, his hands trying to find his pockets

"I hope" he snickered, giving Steve an unexpected hug. the taller boy fell in shock before hugging back, Eddie patting Steve on the back before letting go.

"cya Harrington, safe travels"

"cya Munson" Steve grabbed his keys and walked out the door, heading to his car. the thought of them hanging out wasn't so bad after all, Eddie Munson seemed to be a cool guy. he just hoped he's not seen as a dick anymore.
