Chapter 4: Dinner

Luz pov

I get out of the car and look around for Willow and hunter. I spot them and quickly swing around to the passenger side. I open the door for amity, and she gets out. We walk over holding hands and as soon as me and amity saw zander we acted like we weren't. Zander was still mad at me but I don't know why. As i watch zander forcibly grab amity into a kiss i cringed. She deserves someone better, someone who can treat her right.

The five of us walk in and sit at our table. Willow and hunter were talking and the rest of us listened. After a few minutes, hunter got up. "Me and willow have an announcement to make... We are dating!" all of us cheered and zander got up to say something. " I congratulate you two, but now the only one without a date is you, Luz." he looked at me smirking and continued. "It looks like your third wheeling." he said in a whiny tone. Thats it first this afternoon and now? I've had it. I get up to go near him and say, "I have an announcement to make, it's clear to see amity likes being around me more that you, isn't that so amity?" OH FUCK. I fucked up big time. Zander glared at the both of us, and amity bright red. "I uh.. Uhh .. I think I'll be leaving." I saw a storm out of there. What was I thinking?

I call an uber and run to Steve's office. "Hey steve..?" I say with a saddened tone. "Hey what's wrong? Come sit next to me." Once I sat down next to him, I broke down. "Hey if Amity can't see that you are a good person then she's clearly blind." "hey don't talk about amity like that." i say. "just saying.." Steve adds back. "Is there a possible way for me to change my dorm? I don't want to stay in there" I ask. "There is but i'm not letting you switch." Steve says. "Wait why not??" I asked back, confused. "You too are so good together." he pulls out a teen magazine. "She is the cat to your bat." I laughed and felt a little better. I said goodnight and headed off to my dorm.
