Chapter 17: Personal Issues

Evelyn: Everything will be alright little brother

Blue: B-But you're hurt! You have red stuff coming out of your stomach! I-Is that blood?

Evelyn: N-No no! It isn't....j-just t-t-trust me, I'll.....I'll be okay..........I'll be okay

I'LL BE OKAY

My eyes opened quickly as my memories slowly started to resurface. I wondered where I was but sighed in relief when I realised that I was still in my room. I looked at the clock in my room and noticed it was break time, why was I still in my room?

Oh right......it was my birthday.

I tried to sleep through the day but the thought of Evelyn kept me awake, I can't forget...I can never.

Blue: [Sighs] I guess I'll just leave my room, sleep isn't an option now

I didn't want to celebrate my birthday, I even told Harry, Ron and Hermione to keep quiet about it because I know everyone would want to celebrate it........but I didn't want to. Instead of walking around Hogwarts, I decide to go to the forest near Hogwarts.

I should celebrate my birthday.....I should.......but I can't......Evelyn died on my 13th birthday but now I'm 14.

Blue: It isn't just my 13th birthday that is a reminder that Evelyn died....it's all of them.....maybe that's why I don't want to celebrate.

I walked deeper into the forest so that I could be alone, however I spotted a familiar girl with long blonde hair.

Blue: Luna? What are you doing in the forest? And where are your shoes?!

Yep, that's right. Luna Lovegood was walking in the forest while barefooted....is that even a word?

Luna: Oh hello Professor Light, I like walking in the forest. About my shoes, it was the Nargles that took them

Blue: [Raises an Eyebrow] Say what now?

Luna: Nargles, they're the small creatures I told you about

Blue: Hmm I must've forgotten, do you know where they might've placed them?

Luna: I have an idea

Blue: Okay, jump on my back. I'm not going to let a student of mine walk around like that

Luna: [Smiles] Okay

I crouch and allow Luna to jump on my back, she wraps her arms below my head while I held her legs and followed her directions. She was a bit unsure with her directions but we managed to find a tree that had her shoes.

The laces were tied around a tree branch and it was high up but I think Luna might have a chance to reach it from her position.

Blue: Are you going to use your wand?

Luna: I don't need to, I think I can reach it from here

She reaches out for her shoes and manages to untie the laces and retrieve it, I set her down and allow her to put her shoes back on. When Luna finished putting on her shoes, she looked up to me.

Luna: Professor, can I show you something? I want to know if you can see them

Blue: See? Is it something small?

Luna: Nope, follow me

Luna runs off so I run after her, after a few seconds of running she stopped and pointed to something.

Luna: Look

Blue: What is i-oh....I see now

A few meters in front of us was these black, skeletal, winged horses.
