Chapter 97: Wedding

Eventually the wedding begins, presided over by the same wizard who led Dumbledore’s funeral. Muriel praises her tiara that Fleur is wearing, but is displeased over how low-cut Ginny’s dress is.

Ginny grins and winks at me when she heard and I smirk at her before rolling my eyes but soon enough, Fleur and Bill are pronounced husband and wife and the celebrations finally begin.

The balloons around us explode, releasing flowers and ringing golden bells. But instead of making me feel excited like the rest of the guests, I instead got flashbacks to the war.......

Anyways, the tent transforms itself for the reception, gaining a dance floor and tables and chairs for eating.

Ron grabs butterbeers for himself, Harry and Hermione, however he gets me a muggle milkshake that Lupin conjured up.

Ron: We should grab a table before doing anything else

Blue: Yeah, he is right

We get up and sit down at a mostly empty table since Luna was sitting down, by herself as always. I've also noticed that she is wearing a yellow dress that goes well with her and I complement it.

Luna: T-Thank you Blue, my father is giving Bill and Fleur their present so I'm just waiting here

Ron: Hah, it's probably something weird like a-

He didn't even get to finish what he was going to say because Hermione tried to kick him under the table for insulting Luna's father but it looks like I will have to teach her how to kick as she gets me instead.

Blue: O-Ow

Hermione: O-Oh! Sorry Blue!

Blue: It's alright, you were defending Luna

The first of the dances begin, and Luna gets up to join in, leaving a spot open for Viktor to sit.

Viktor: Tell me, who is that man? The one with the long yellow hair?

He was talking to Ron about Xenophilius but Ron doesn't want to talk with Viktor, he then moves onto Hermione.

Viktor: Her-min-inny, vould you like to dance vith me?

Ron: Oh don't you try it! She is going to dance with me!

Hermione: Umm, sorry Viktor but I want to dance with Blue.

Ron looked upset and I didn't know why, he decides to just think to himself while me and Hermione go and have a dance.

Viktor figures that they're dating now, then decides to talk to "Barny," telling him that if he were not Fleur's guest today, he'd duel Xenophilius.

Harry: What? But why?

Viktor: It's because he is vearing a symbol, zomving that looks like a triangular eye, that is Grindelwald’s sign.

It turns out that Grindelwald killed Viktor's grandfather back in the day, the Dark wizard carved the same symbol into walls at Durmstrang when he was a student.

Viktor tells Harry that other students copied the symbol down to seem "impressive" until other Durmstrang students who had family killed by Grindelwald "taught them better."

Harry: Xenophilius might not know what the symbol means

Krum: Barny.....are you trying to make vun of me?

He draws his wand and then Harry remembers that Gregorovitch made the wand, that he heard that name during the Triwizard Tournament when their wands were weighed.
