Jason's POV

It's been roughly a month since the outbreak happened... I still don't know how this all started and it's likely I'll never know.

I'm currently based up in Atlanta where I've been doing what I can for any survivors. Unfortunately, not many people are trustworthy anymore.

I've come across a few groups while here and they all tried taking my gear, car, and life. The apocalypse can do a number on a person's personality...

I tried getting to the refugee camp to help save at least some survivors from the military's mistake, but I was too late. Just as I got there, the entire place was up in flames with the dead walking around or eating already dead people who killed themselves to avoid becoming one of the walking dead...

3rd Person POV

Jason could be seen in the streets of Atlanta with one of the weapons he was given by Talia al Ghul in his old life. Red Razor.

The Red Hood himself could be seen slashing away at the undead, cutting through them like a hot knife through butter

The Red Hood himself could be seen slashing away at the undead, cutting through them like a hot knife through butter.

Jason: "Come on, you bastards!!"

The Red Hood flipped over one of the dead and sliced it's head off before chucking a crimson batarang at one of the undead.

He panted softly before recovering his batarang and running off to get onto the city's tallest building.

*Timeskip*

Jason was able to get onto the tallest building in the city, sighing as he drank some whiskey.

Jason: "I've only been here for a few weeks and this place is infested..."

The Red Hood grabbed his flask and took a swig but suddenly his radio came on.

???: "Broadcasting on emergency channel. Will be approaching Atlanta on highway 85. Anybody reads, please respond."

Jason was shocked by this and spat out his whiskey, instantly grabbing his satellite radio and turning it on.

Jason: "I can read you loud and clear, Person Unknown. Are you receiving this response?"

???: "Hello. Hello. Can anybody hear my voice?"

Jason: "Damn it!"

???: "Anybody out there? Anybody hears me, please respond."

The Red Hood sighed, shaking his head.

Jason: "The speaker box for his radio must be busted."

Jason put his radio back on his belt before standing up, walking away to his duffle bag.

Suddenly a feminine voice came onto the radio.

???: "Hey. Hello? I can hear you. You're coming through. Over."

Jason immediately grabbed his radio and held it in front of him.

Jason: "Don't bother, his speaker box is busted. I got his broadcast as well and tried responding but I didn't get one back."

There was a small silence before the radio crackled.

???: "Who is this?"

Jason: "A survivor from Cynthiana Kentucky looking for any others who might have survived. Who am I speaking to?"

???: "Amy."

Jason: "Well, Amy, it's nice to hear another person for once and not the dead."

Amy: "It's nice to hear another survivor. Who am I speaking to?"

Jason: "I can't tell you my name but I can tell you what I go by to strangers."

Amy: "What is it?"

Jason: "Red Hood."

There was a bit of silence before a new voice came onto the radio.

???: "Hello, hello. Is the person who called still on the air?"

Jason smiled.

Jason: "Yeah, I'm here. Who am I speaking to now?"

???: "This is Officer Shane Walsh, I'm a cop from Cynthiana Kentucky who knows about you, Red Hood."

Jason: "Good to hear from you, Officer Walsh."

Shane: "What is your current location?"

Jason: "I'm currently on top of a building in the city. Tallest one. I was able to get a good signal up here for the last three hours."

Shane: "Are you bit? Injured?"

Jason: "Nope, I'm completely healthy. I'm alone so nothing to worry about. Already came across plenty of survivors who want my supplies, guns, and car."

Shane: "What do you got for supplies specifically? Any medicine? Water?"

Jason narrowed his eyes a bit but decided to tell.

Jason: "Plenty of water and medicine. I've got lots of full gas cans as well in my car which is currently hidden. Plenty of ammo as well."

There was a small silence before Shane came back on the radio.

Shane: "How long have you been in the city?"

Jason: "I lost track after the third week."

Shane: "You're one crazy bastard, y'know that?"

Jason: "I've been told."

Jason thought of the times where his adopted brother, Dick Grayson, called him crazy whenever he did something either stupid or dangerous.

Shane: "If you want, we can send someone to come get you?"

Jason shook his head.

Jason: "I'm actually going to make sure that guy who's heading here stays safe. I failed Cynthiana Kentucky and I refuse to fail any more survivors that I know I can help."

Shane: "You got a good heart there, brother. Keep in touch so we know you're still alive."

The radio then turned off and the Red Hood chuckled softly, looking down at all the undead.

Jason: "Not a problem."

The Red Hood looked to the highway that comes into Atlanta, sighing.

Jason: "Try to get here safe, pal."

*Timeskip*

Jason was laying on his back relaxing while on the roof, looking up at the clouds in the sky.

Jason: "I promise, I won't make the same mistake I made in Cynthiana..."

Suddenly the Red Hood heard gunshots down in the city and rushed over to the edge and looked down to see the undead trying to get to something underneath the abandoned tank, a swarm of them surrounding a horse body as they devoured it.

Jason: "Shit..."
