3rd Person POV

It has now been 5 months since Jason's arrival in his new life and the Red Hood has pretty much stopped most small crimes that happen at night. People in town now felt more safe walking home at night than they were before. Jason had decided it was time to take down more major crimes such as well known drug dealers.

It was currently night and the Red Hood was perched on top of a building with a rocket launcher, looking at the building in front of him to see his major target.

A well known drug lord who had small side businesses such as human trafficking and child slavery.

Jason narrowed his eyes as he aimed his rocket launcher, the laser pointing directly at the drug lord's head which got his attention as he looked directly at the Red Hood.

Jason smirked before giving a smug wave while looking down the scope.

Jason: "Happy Halloween, fuck face!"

He then fired his rocket launcher, watching as it split open to reveal a sharp projectile that stabbed into the glass. Jason watched the drug lord's terrified face as the glass shattered when the sharp projectile let out a high pitch frequency.

The glass sliced through the drug lord's body like butter before his body dropped to the floor in a pool of blood.

Jason chuckled softly and placed an explosive on the rocket launcher before zipping away with his Bat-claw, letting the rocket launcher blow up to minimize evidence.

Jason smiled under his mask as he swung along and hummed to himself.

The Red Hood laughed as he swung off to stop more criminals.

*Timeskip*

Over the course of 4 hours, Jason had killed almost 28 criminals, leaving each scene with minimal evidence so police wouldn't find him.

Suddenly, while Jason was running across a building, he noticed a girl who looked to be maybe 11 years old sitting outside a house while the sound of arguing could be heard inside.

The Red Hood tilted his head before he silently made his way down to the ground, walking up to the girl on her right.

Jason: "Everything okay, kid?"

The girl instantly looked up and nervously stared at Jason.

Girl: "My mom said it's not good to talk to strangers."

Jason chuckled.

Jason: "Your mom's right. But I'm not some creep or anything like that. The name's Red Hood."

The girl seemed surprised.

Girl: "You're that hero going around beating up the bad guys, right?"

Jason was taken aback by the word "hero", making him sigh.

Jason: "Unfortunately, I'm no hero, kid."

Girl: "But, you beat up bad guys, don't you?"

Jason: "Well, yeah but-"

Girl: "Then, you're a hero!"

Jason was silent before he chuckled softly.

Jason: "At least some people think so."

Jason sat down beside the girl before she stuck her hand out.

Girl: "Sophia Peletier."

Jason looked at the girl now known as Sophia, looking down at her hand before shaking it gently.

Jason: "Unfortunately, I can't give you my name. Secret identity and all."

Sophia: "It's okay, I understand."

Jason nodded and heard the arguing get louder, narrowing his eyes.

Jason: "I can stop them if you want. Just say the word."

Sophia: "It's fine. I've dealt with it for a long time..."

Jason felt bad for Sophia and thought deeply about his next action, reaching up to his mask and pressing the button under the back of it before taking it off slowly, showing Sophia his face.

Jason: "Jason Todd. Nice to meet you, Sophia Peletier."

Sophia smiled up at Jason before standing up.

Sophia: "I should go back inside now. My mom's probably worried about me being gone."

Jason: "Okay, Sophia. Be safe and have a good night."

Sophia walked away while Jason did the same, putting his mask back on and zipping away with his Bat-claw.

Jason thought to himself, wondering what else he should do to prepare.

Jason: "If I'm going to prepare, I should get as much supplies as I can."

Jason's eyes narrowed, deciding it was time to take God's warning seriously since he only had 5 months left to prepare.

Jason: "It's time to stop playing around."
