A Day Off

Y/N'S POV

I woke up the next morning, still in Marshal's arms.  I loved  it but I also had things to do. Reluctantly, I got out of bed, careful not to wake the squirrel. I got changed and walked outside. Yes today is my break. But I only have 15 minutes before Marshal wakes up so I have to be quick.

I ran to the museum. Said hello to blathers and walked towards The Roost, a cafe inside the museum.

"Hey. Brewster. The usual and Marshal's usual too please."

"Coo. Alright."

"And can you please make it quick. I only have...11 minutes until Marshal wakes up."

"Surprising him I assume?"

"Yep. "

"Very kind of you."

"Yep."

"Anyway. Here's your coffee"

"Thank you"

I payed him and swiftly walked back home. I arrived just as Marshal's alarm went off. I walked downstairs into the basement we now share.

"Morning Marshal, I brought Coffee."

"Aw thank you."

He leaned over and kissed me. We sat on the bed together, cuddling and drinking the coffee.

"Any plans today, y/n?"

"Nope. I'm taking a break from wedding planning today. You doing anything?"

"Nothing planned. We could spend to day together... maybe?"

"Definitely. I love you after all."

"I love you too."

After finishing the Coffee we talked and cuddled.

"Seriously, Marshal. If you know you have no plans, then why set an alarm?"

"I don't know."

We laughed for a moment.

"Y'know, y/n. We'll be married soon."

"I know. I'm excited but also quite nervous."

"Why are you nervous?"

"Never been this close to someone. What if I end up heartbroken?"

"Dear. I would never break your heart. Besides I've never been this close to a person before either."

"What about Diana?"

"I was only just falling in love with her. But I'm already deeply in love with you, y/n."

"I love you, Marshal"

"I love you too, y/n."
