As the blue ocean meets a peach sky, the evening has come in stately fashion, with all the grace of a breeze in repose.
The tides hit the coast creating splashes, coating the golden beach sand.

"This place brings back a lot of memories."

"And I am gonna make a memory here in about 5 minutes"

"Is she coming in at 5?"

"Yes!",

"Enjoy your date.
ill go to get some fresh air.
Call me when you're done!"

Maurice strolls alone on the beach remembering all the time he spent with Madeline here. This time he did not sob. He smiled. He smiled realising the fact that no matter how short their journey was, it was enough to fill his heart with her love.
To visit this magical place was a reason why Maurice made Lucas fix his date at the beach.

The sea breeze blew in all directions.
Maurice with his closed eyes, perambulated until he heard someone shout:

"Excuse me;
don't go far the tides are high"

Maurice turned his head to reply but what he saw following left him speechless.

Behind the aged man who warned Maurice to go further, Stood a girl.
Caramel brown wavy layered hair, pale skin with pink cheeks, brown eyes that glittered in the golden hour with lashes long enough to carry a teardrop on them.

"I asked him to stop you. The waves are dangerous today please don't risk your life."
the girl stated.

"I can't-"
Before Maurice completed his sentence he fell on the shore unconscious.

"Maurice??? wakeup bro"
Lucas spilt water on Maurice's face to wake him up
Maurice kept murmuring 'Madeline' until he regained his consciousness.

"Lucas...I saw her",

"Saw whom?",
"Madeline",

"She's dead for 3 years for god sake. We found u here at the shore lying unconscious with the help of some old man"

"Yes! she was standing right behind that man! Where is he?"

It ended it really did as death cannot be averted. Everything has an end be it love or life and it was the end to it or at least that's what Maurice thought. But what he saw on the 9th of may gave him chills. "Was it her? she died 3 years ago then who is this girl?" the hopes in his heart grew once again for no reason we all know she wasn't alive although his heart said something else.

Lucas waved at the old man to call him. As the old man reached, Maurice began asking multiple questions all at once which seemed suspicious. This annoyed the old man who then refused to tell any information about the girl.

"I apologize on his behalf. He's not mentally well. He thinks he saw his dead fiance behind you. Please assure him it wasn't her" Lucas pleaded.

The old man nodded.

"My name is Eric and I'm the security officer here. The girl behind me...well, I don't know her name yet nor is she related to me. All I know about her is that she comes here every day, especially at this time when the sun meets the sea and the sky's covered with hues of pink and orange. If you wanna meet her, come here tomorrow evening."

It was a challenging night to spend.

"When I saw hazel's picture, I felt Maddy's presence near her. I was not wrong"

Lucas who was calmed to see Maurice smile genuinely after so long at the same time feared about how is he going to look after Maurice when he gets his hopes crushed the other day. Even in the most miraculous scenario if the girl was Madeline, why didn't she recognize Maurice?
There was no chance, no possibility.
