"Hey grandpa, we're here!" Ukai shouted towards that man.

Everyone stopped what they were doing and the man shot Ukai a suspicious look.

He came slowly toward us, his eyes twitching between the three of us. My nervousness was getting worse because I knew I wasn't supposed to be here originally so I didn't know how he would react.

He had the same intimidating aura around him as Ukai had when we first met but with his grandfather it was even more intimidating.

"Weren't you supposed to be here an hour ago? Where the hell have you been." The man roared toward Ukai.

I was worriedly looking between the two Ukai relatives.

"Ay, don't act like you got that much going on, old man." Ukai casually waved him off with a cheeky grin.

This surprised me a bit. The scary expression his grandfather had didn't budge him one bit. I guess he had got used to it and probably Ukai got his intimidating aura from him.

Grandpa Ukai only scoffed at Ukai's remark and now turned his attention to me and Hinata.

"You, orange hair, go and warm up with the others." He barked and Hinata without a word did as he was told.

It was clear that me and Hinata felt the same fear from Ukai's grandfather.

My eyes followed Hinata as he ran to the other kids, who were clearly younger than him but were about the same height.

"And, you? Who are you?" My attention was quickly brought back with the sound of Ukai's grandfather's strong tone.

"I...I'm..."

Shit, no, why am I so nervous.

My hands were clammy as I held onto the pie.

"Is this your girlfriend or something, Keishin?" The man turned his attention to his grandson.

His question didn't help me. Now I was not only nervous but red as a tomato as well.

"Could you not sound so angry, at least with her? You're making her nervous." Ukai groaned, not paying attention to his grandfather's statement.

The grandfather narrowed his eyes at Ukai and then looked at me.

Seeing my frozen smile, his expression completely changed and he looked more friendly now.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you. I'm this brat's grandfather Ikkei Ukai." He pointed toward Ukai but kept his eyes on me. His tone was calm which made the anxiety leave my strained expression.

"I'm Y/N L/N, I'm the school nurse of Karasuno. I brought you a pie that I baked. I hope you like it because it's delicious." I smiled and put the pie toward him.

"She's a good cook, you'll definitely like it." Ukai chipped in.

I noticed the old man look between us and chuckle.

"Alright, I'll put it in the kitchen and we're going to eat it after." He took the pie from my hands and disappeared into the house.

The grandfather then went to continue his training, now with Hinata as one of the trainees.

Me and Ukai watched them practice for a while.

"That is definitely your grandpa." I chuckled as I watched him bark out orders.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Ukai turned to me confused.

"You know...you act the same. Though, he's less patient than you. But that's probably because of his age." I pondered.

"Yeah, he's definitely much more grumpy than me." Ukai chuckled.

We've had enough of the volleyball-watching after some time so we decided to walk a bit around the village.

Ukai informed me that this is where he grew up and invited me to take me around his favorite spots around this village.

"Ah, I wasn't here in so long. Everything is so different." Ukai sighed when we were walking around a row of small cabin-like houses.

The village was surrounded by high mountains and the little houses fit just right in.

"Do you not visit your grandfather often?" I asked curiously.

"Well, you've seen how he is. He would only yell at me if I visited anyway so what's the point." Ukai groaned. I could sense the guilt in his tone.

"He looks scary...but you were too  at first and now you're actually pretty nice." I tried to be positive.

"Is that supposed to be a compliment?" Ukai's left eyebrow raised.

"I...guess so." I gave him an uneasy smile, realizing how my previous statement didn't sound much like a compliment.

"But if you don't like to visit him alone, I could come with you if it would make you feel better."

I didn't know if Ukai was telling me the truth or if there was something deeper between them but I wanted to somehow help.

Ukai looked at my supportive smile and chuckled.

"Well, the old man thinks you're my girlfriend anyway so it'd be weird if you didn't come next time." He joked.

We continued walking until we stopped at a bigger building with a lot of windows. It had a big field in front of it.

That must be a school and from the looks of it, it still worked as one.

"Is this your old school?" I pointed toward the building.

"Yes, that's where I started. Where I played my first match." Ukai's eyes observed the school grounds. He was probably reminiscing about his childhood memories.

"And how was it? Did your team win?" I asked and followed the direction his eyes were looking.

"Did we win? No, we were so bad. My technique was garbage." He smiled fondly.

"But I was determined to get better and I eventually did. It just took some time and lots of yelling from my grandpa." Ukai continued and I silently nodded.

"Do you think he'll be able to help Hinata as well?" I suddenly remembered how scared Hinata looked when he met eyes with Ukai's grandfather.

"Hm...as much as I don't like to admit it, he's much better coach than me so I'm sure Hinata will improve." Ukai kept his gaze at the empty volleyball court.

I could sense the bitterness in Ukai's voice. It seemed like he took the boys' stagnation in skills personally, like it was all his fault.

"I know it might not mean anything to you because it's coming from me but I think you're a great coach." I faced him and gave him a big reassuring smile.

He looked down into my eyes and smiled back.

"Thank you."
