(Y/n)'s POV

"Jin, honey, could you please carry me?" I childishly raised my hands, waiting for the ravenette to lift me up. "My legs hurt from all the running yesterday..."

"I pamper you too much," he sighed as he turned around. "Get on my back."

"Thanks," I beamed, plopping myself onto his back for a piggyback ride. "Sorry if I'm heavy."

"It's the opposite, (Y/n). You weigh close to nothing. Are you sure you've been eating well?" Jin Woo was extremely worried at his newfound discover. I was severely underweight.

"Yep, this is how I usually weigh, you don't have to worry about a thing," I chuckled. "Now c'mon, let's get going. Jin Ho must be waiting for us."

He shot me another worried glance before he left the apartment in Jin Ah's care. In a short span of time, we arrived at the meeting point. Jin Woo entered the minivan and placed me beside him so he could keep a watchful eye on me. He felt an odd need to keep a closer eye on me from now on. He couldn't let me neglect myself any longer. Self-care is important.

"Heya Jin Ho, sorry to keep you waiting. So, before we raid the next gate, we'll have to pick Song Yi up, is that okay with you?" I asked, peering over the driver's seat.

"Of course," he beamed. "That wouldn't be a problem."

"Aww, thanks. Usually people aren't too happy with a sudden change in their schedule," I instinctively gave him a head pat. "Ah, sorry, it's um... a habit? Yeah, a habit."

"N- No worries," he stuttered, face a deep cherry red.

I laughed at his expression, "Well, I'll try not doing it again."

I returned to my seat and laid down on Jin Woo's lap. The ravenette was surprised at my sudden action, but he wasn't opposed to it. I nuzzled into his stomach, letting out a hum of content as I did so. I felt so comfortable having a source of warmth and softness right in front of me.

"You smell nice." My off-handed comment surprised him. I let out a drowsy yawn, "I'm gonna sleep now. Maybe I'll even sleep the soreness away, but that's probably impossible. Night night."

Jin Woo would have laughed at what I said if I weren't sleeping. He realized it was quite suggestive. 'Maybe I'll even sleep the soreness away'. Anyone else would have gotten the wrong message without knowing the context behind my words, similarly to a driver sitting on the front seat sweating bullets.

"Huh, your soldiers are pretty sturdy," I commented. "Maybe for the mages, you should get them ability enhancing charms?"

"Oh, you're right," he agreed. "But I don't intend on spending much on them."

"Still a cheapskate, I see," I laughed. "You don't have to worry about spending. You can find them in dungeo-"

I was cut mid sentence when a Magic Beast had tried to attack me. I dodged its attack and kicked it away. The cave's walls trembled when its body collided against it. I grimaced. I think I put too much strength into that kick... poor thing. At least it died without feeling any pain.

"-Anyways, back to what I was previously saying, charms are acquired through specific dungeons. You won't be able to find them in a random low-ranking dungeon." I explained.

"Isn't it a waste of time to invest in something you aren't sure of?" He tilted his head questioningly.

"That is definitely true, but in this case, no. Once you've worked hard to get good enhancement charms, you're able to change who exactly uses them. So, if you don't need a shadow in your party anymore, but they've got a charm equipped, you can just take it away from them, send them back and give the charm to someone else. It's as simple as that. It's just like farming in a game, you get me? You've got to spend hours tediously searching for precious objects or ascension materials to help your party, and just to give you some motivation, there are ways of narrowing down your work. Creatures that are likely to use magic such as orcs and magicians are more likely to drop enhancement charms. Remember to keep your troops roughly on the same level, and don't hesitate to strengthen them if given the chance. So yeah, that's my feedback for you and your growing shadow army."
