TW: Suicide, self-harm, use of drugs, smoking and alcohol

Jin Woo's POV

I stared at the abyss of darkness which seemed to hauntingly stare back at me. I was the manifestation of darkness itself, and yet the moment I laid my eyes on the empty haze of emptiness, a feeling of fear overcame my heart. Where am I? I looked around, trying to get as many clues as possible. There was nothing— just a never ending blackness.

A chuckle echoed in the dark abyss, echoing, echoing, echoing endlessly. The voice was familiar and yet so different. So distant. I looked toward the source of the voice, eyes squinting to see if I could make out at least the outline of the woman. My efforts were proven useless. The endless black void remained to greet me.

"It's been a long time since anyone's been here. Actually, you're probably the first one," the voice was.... (Y/n)'s but more sultry, soft and... sensual. "Nevertheless, welcome to (Y/n)'s mind!"

(Y/n)'s mind? What...? I cleared my throat and voiced my question, "What do you mean?"

"After the pact you had made with her— or well, the pact that the nasty system forced upon the two of you, you've managed to gain access to (Y/n)'s mind," the voice explained. "I never expected you to come here, but color me surprised."

"And who might you be?"

"Me? Why, you hurt me so. I'm (Y/n)'s twin. Does that ring a bell?"

"Jae... (L/n)?" I repeated.

"Exactly," (Y/n)'s supposed twin laughs. "Anyways, it's a bit mean of me to keep a guest in such an unruly place. Please, come in."

A bright white light lit up the room. I brought my hands to my eyes, shielding myself from the blindingly white light. I cautiously walked toward the white rectangular shaped light, assuming that it was the exit. The moment I stepped through it, I was brought into a completely different environment. I was in a simple living room. Square shaped, walls painted gray, a short wooden coffee table in the middle, a fluffy black carpet underneath it and dark green sofa. My mouth hung wide open. Sitting right across me was (Y/n)— or at least who I initially thought was (Y/n). The woman had the same (e/c) eyes, (h/t) (h/c) hair and (s/c) skin, yet despite looking exactly like (Y/n), the way her complexion rested on her face said otherwise. Another indication was the woman's eyes. The being, the soul that resided behind them— I knew it wasn't (Y/n).

"Jae (L/n)?" I asked once more.

"Yep," she eagerly nodded her head. "Please, take a seat right there."

"What seat-"

Jae gestured to the space right beside me. A seat took form, appearing out of thin air. Snapping out of my initial shock, I abided by her wishes. I took a seat, but not allowing myself to get comfortable. I still didn't know what was happening. It would be foolish of me to let my guard down so easily.

"I know, you've got loads of questions. Where am I? What am I doing here? Is this a trap? What's happening? These must be the questions cycling in that pretty head of yours, right? To answer all your questions, once more, you're in (Y/n)'s mind— or the entrance to it. Why are you here? I'm not too sure, but I do have an aching suspicion on why you are. Is this a trap? Do you really think (Y/n) would tell anyone else about her past excluding you? Do you think she lets her secrets spill so easily?" Jae looked at me, waiting for an answer.

I shook my head, "No, but then if that's the case... What's the reason you think I'm here for? Would you please elaborate?"

"Now, that's a secret for me to keep and a secret for you to find out in due time. For now, I'd like you to follow me... I'll show you around," Jae stood up, dusting the imaginary dust off her skirt. "There's some things that I'd like for you to know about (Y/n) that she'd never speak a word of to anyone else."
