A pain seized my heart. I placed my hand over it, grabbing my chest. I hunched over painfully before finally losing sight. I could hear someone calling for my name, but I disregarded the small cries, sinking further into the inky blackness. The deep, strangely warm inky blackness. Did I just experience a heart attack? Did I... die? No that can't be it, can it?

My train of thought was cut off. I now stood face to face with who I presumed to be the Rulers. I was surprised. I was supposed to be under the radar. I was simply masquerading as a mere human, after all. Out of all people, why would they have their eyes on me? Not shying away from their gazes, I bravely stared right back at them, plastering a mean expression on my face.

"(L/n) D. (Y/n), a dimensión traveler," a ruler uttered. "You do not belong here."

"I don't, but there's nothing you can do about it," I responded, not giving much care towards my response. "What, are you going to send me back where I came from?"

"We would do no such thing. You are a part of the Council's Special Operations Squad. We know of your... situation. We are glad the Council has heard our call and sent someone as capable as yourself here... but to have the Shadow Monarch strung around your fingers is... far from ideal."

I scoffed, "You think I wanted this? You think I'm a masochist who likes to experience heartbreak? You do know after this I will be returning to my original mission. Jin Woo– the Shadow Monarch following me was never my plan."

"And yet he would follow you. To the ends of the Earth and back, through dimensions, through time and space itself," the Ruler pointed out. "We can't afford for him to leave our world. Not now. We would like to rewind time-"

"-no." I narrowed my eyes. An overwhelmingly strong aura surrounded me, causing the Rulers to buckle to their knees. "No. Fucking. Way."

"But-"

"-I said no!" I screamed at the top of my lungs as I pointed a shaking finger at the beings, "None of you will do that! We've gone too far. I've stayed here for too long. Jin Woo's hard work won't be thrown away and swept to the side! If you don't comply with me, I'll be personally killing each and every one of you!"

"You cannot do that. The Council will be angry," one of the Rulers smugly grinned.

"You think I care? I'd suffer any punishment they'd dish at me if it meant keeping Jin Woo safe! You don't know the power that I hold," I growled. "One snap and you're all fucking dead, assholes."

I lifted my hand, a (f/c) glow covering my hand and the bodies of the Rulers. My opened hands were slowly coming to a close. The Rulers struggled under my grasp as an added force was applied to their bodies, crushing them. Their efforts were proven useless. All they could do is wait for their destined deaths.

"N- Now, now, calm down Ms. (L/n)," the leader of the Rulers pleaded. "If you do not want that, then we will abide by your wishes. Although having the Shadow Monarch this infatuated with you was far from what we had originally planned, it is by no means harmful to this world. We only want for the human realm to be safe."

"That's what I thought," I scoffed, dropping the Rulers onto the ground. They panted heavily after finally regaining their access to oxygen, the sustenance of almost all life– supreme or not. They scrambled to their feet, but quickly realized their mistake. They lowered their heads out of fear.

I sighed, "I don't want your fear, I want your respect. If you think I'm a bitch, don't bow down. Part of this... is my fault. I'm an overbearing, overprotective friend. I hate to see those that I love get hurt, so my immediate response was to snuff out whatever is causing that 'hurt'. I shouldn't have snapped or lost my temper. It was very irresponsible of me. For that, I apologize. However, I still stand by what I said. I know you all care for the humans– more than I do, and I appreciate that. I won't let anything happen to them. I promise."
