This story is now marked as mature for future plot reasons (and by future plot reasons, I mean this chapter. If you aren't ready for mature reads, drop the book. I don't mind because I know heavy stuff just isn't for everyone).

(Y/n)'s POV

"The operation will launch in four days days," Chairman Go explained. "We'll be going to Jeju Island to exterminate those damned ants, but to pull it off, we'll need your help, Mr. Sung, Ms. (L/n). All of South Korea has longed for the reclamation of Jeju Island. Please fight with us."

I looked at Jin Woo, "I don't think we should skip this opportunity, Jinnie."

"You think so?" He muttered, staring at the ceiling deep in thought.

"I'm-" The ravenette quickly cut himself off as he sensed a strong wave of energy.

"-Is something wrong?" The Chairman asked out of concern.

"Uh, it's nothing serious... It just seems like there are Hunters fighting somewhere nearby," Jin Woo explained.

Despite what he had said, I knew for a fact that the mana he sensed was not from the S-Rank Hunters fighting nearby, but a soon to be member of Jin Woo's shadow army, Beru. Regardless of my knowledge, I kept my mouth shut. It wasn't my place to say anything.

The Chairman chuckled, "As expected. Your senses are sharp. I'm surprised you felt that from such a distance away. The S-Rank Hunters are probably warming up in the gym right now. Perhaps that's what you felt?"

"S-Rank Hunters?" Jin Woo inquired curiously.

"Yes, they are warming up because there are only four days left until the Jeju Island raid. The Japanese S-Rank Hunters, including Goto Ryuji, are all here as well."

"Goto Ryuji? Are you talking about...?"

"Goto Ryuji, the greatest Hunter in Japan, and a name everyone has probably heard of at least once in their lives even if they're not a Hunter."

"Well, why don't we check it out? It seems like an interesting opportunity," I wolfishly grinned, my eyes twinkling with mischief. "I bet it's gonna be fun."

Jin Woo was slightly off put by my demeanor, never having seen me thirst for violence for the simple thrill of it. Although taken aback, he found this side of me enticing– it was fresh to him, and he loved it.

"Let's go, then," he agreed.

The moment we arrived in the gymnasium, we were greeted with a lax yet competitive battle between Baek Yoon Ho and Ma Dong Wook. I leaned against the railings, taking in a better view of the fight. It made me wonder why the Hunters in South Korea were so weak and small in numbers compared to the rest of the world.

"This many S-Rank Hunters gathered in one place? Not something you see everyday. The mana waves you felt earlier probably came from them," Chairman Go speculated.

"Looks like Mr. Baek is struggling a bit," Jin Woo bluntly pointed out.

"Yes, however if Baek Yoon Ho were to attack using full force, Ma Dong Wook wouldn't be able to keep up." Jong-In interrupted.

Noticing my presence, the redette's gaze shifted over to me. He gave a nod in acknowledgement. I smiled back and gave him a friendly wave. Our short interaction reminded Jin Woo that I and the master of the Hunters Guild had previously met. He didn't like the idea one bit but remained silent.

"It's been a while, Mr. Sung, (Y/n)," he smiled.

"Yeah, it's been a while. Oh, and again, sorry for turning your offer down." I apologized once more, genuinely feeling bad for rejecting Jong-In's once in a lifetime offer.
