———— THE BIRTH OF RHAELYS VELARYON was an easy and smooth birth Rhaenyra was told, it happened only one nameday after the birth of her sister, Helaena. She was born with almost black hair and violet eyes, a true beauty to everyone who had been lucky to meet her.
"Was the birth hard, princess?" Rheanys asked at the dinner, seated next to Rhaenyra who held her daughter close to her chest for the warmth. Although she had just been born and knew no one had a hatred for her yet, she felt as if she needed to protect her with her life already.
Looking down at the new born babe, who wasn't startled or bothered at all by the music filling the room around them, she replied "It was bearable, but worth it nonetheless" Rhaenyra smiled at the babe.
Alicent Hightower looked over at the brunette targaryen, she knew it wasn't Laenor's she could tell that like anyone else, yet she never mentioned it. "she's beautiful, Rhaenyra. What's her name?" she asked leaning over the chair.
"Rhaelys" answered Rhaenyra, her eyes not leaving the babe. Alicent couldn't help but smile at her, the three women watched in contentment before the young Aegon started pulling on his mothers dress, making the three look to the prince
Aegon was on his third name day by the birth of his niece, he moved his mother out the way to stand next to his sister. "may i hold her, nyra?" he asked, his voice was different then anyone had heard, the young boy was usually very loud and strong, yet he spoke softly with patience.
Rhaenyra hesitated at first, but placed her daughter into her brothers arms, and Alicent held Aegon's elbows to stronger his arms in case he was to weak. Rhaelys' opened her eyes almost instantly, the young boys blues mixing with her violets, "Rhaelys" whispered Aegon.
From the moment the young prince met the girl his eyes lit, his heart fluttered at her eyes. Though he knew she was his niece, and he her uncle, Aegon also knew he loved her, and would do anything for her— even if she didn't know it.
