*y/n's POV*
After Dashiell almost caught us kissing in the kitchen we went back to the living room to keep working on our school project. However, I now cannot get anywhere near concentrating, I think it's fair to admit that I have some interesting thoughts I'd rather stick to.
"Hey, uhm, I'm sorry about my mom before. She's not usually like this, idk why she keeps...." Dashiell starts to apologise for Cate keeping me in the kitchen but I can't fully listen to him: flashes of my kiss with Cate keep running through my mind. When I notice he has stopped talking I get myself together and reply to him. "Oh don't worry, it was nothing, it didn't bother me at all or anything" I smile to let him know that my words are genuine "Anyways, should we get back to work?" and I sit on the chair I was sitting in before. He rubs the back of his neck and sits down too " Yeah, let's finish it!" he says.
The hours pass and it's near dinner time and we still got to finish our job. Suddenly Cate nocks on the door and peaks her head through the door "Hey, how's it going? I was thinking, y/n, would you want to stay for dinner?" I briefly look at Dashiell and then right back at Cate "Well, I would love too, if it's not a big inconvenience... And well" I look back at Dashiell "that would gives us some extra time to finish right?" I wait for his response praying he says yes. I need as much time with her as I can have. "Sure, that would be great! And also if it's alright with you Mom, well and Dad too, y/n could stay here for the night since we might keep working on the project after dinner" I look at Cate and both her eyes and mine start beaming with light, we both smile at each other feeling giddy. "That's actually a really good idea, I'm sure Andrew will be okay with it. What do you say y/n?" now Dashiell and Cate are looking at me expectantly "Well I'll have to call my mom to see if she's okay with it, but yes, I would love to stay!" I now can't stop smiling because my mom will surely say I can stay since she's been trying to make it up to me for what she did, and even more importantly: all of this means I'm getting A LOT of time with her!!!!!!! "Okay, I'm gonna go call my mom, I'll be right back!"
I get up from the chair and exit the room. Once I'm out Cate looks at me and giggles like a little child that's been given some candy. We both walk to the bathroom and she gets inside it with me. We lock the door and rest our backs to it. We look in each other's eyes and with the biggest smiles in our faces we go in for a kiss. She tenderly holds my face while I put my arms around her waist to pull her closer to me.
After a few seconds we pull away and she whispers in my ear "I love you"

Hi! after a looooong long time i finally redownloaded this app and found i had this little draft that i am now publishing.
I doubt i'll ever finish the story bc i lost all my inspiration for it, however if you guys want i can try to wrap it up to not leave it completely unfinished. If y'all have any suggestions im open to hearing them!!!
