Hello! This is just a very short dnf fan fiction from an idea I got while in a car journey. Yes, this is based on true experiences I had...

It was night. Clay Jackson was sneaking out to the basement again, to meet his girlfriend in the basement.

His girlfriend, Emma, had pitch black hair down to her waist, skin as white and soft as swan feathers and eyes of darkness. Super hot. Did she look creepy? Yeah, a bit.

But Clay didn't care, she was the sweetest girl a boy could wish for. Not too clingy or someone who liked being alone. Just the right combination. They never fought about anything really.

Clay would've thought she was his soulmate.

That was, until that night.

"Hey Emma!" Clay had excitedly greeted her. But she kept her head down.

"Aww, did something bad happen? Babe, what's wrong?"

Just then, she looked up. Her expression told Clay that Emma was seriously pissed, and likely at him.

But what did Clay do?

He thought back to a party when he was drunk...

Oh...

Maybe he did do something bad, horribly wrong.

He had cheated on her.

Well, he was completely drunk and pretty much insane, and didn't even remember who he was. The other girls used that to their advantages, manipulating him and lying that he was their boyfriend. Yes, because he was the most popular boy in the school. Having quite long dirty blond hair, lime green eyes, freckles around his cheekbones, and a muscular frame over 6 foot, the whole school was in love with him.

He did know Emma easily got jealous, therefore cheating on her would likely cause the calmest, black-haired girl to explode in anger.

"Don't you dare call me 'babe', not after what you've done," Her words were dripping with resentment. Clay was taken back by her tone, he's never heard her like this.

"Look, I'm sorry, I was drunk and-"

"No, being drunk at the time doesn't give you an excuse. What did I do to deserve this? Hmm? Nothing. We got along great, why did you have to ruin a perfectly good relationship?!" Emma was screaming out anger by now, Clay didn't know what to do.

"N-no that didn't mean we have to break up! Emma please calm down!"

"You know what? I usually wouldn't be so disappointed, but your words," Suddenly, black smoke wrapped around her body, and when the smoke disappeared, instead of the sweet, thoughtful girl he knew, Clay was left with a mad, heartbroken witch. "Your words, you told me that this was true love! And I believed you!" Her voice was no longer hers, her mouth moved but hundreds of different voices came out.

"Emma! Wh-what's happening!"

"What's happening?"She cackled. "What's happening?! YOU ARE GOING TO GET THE PUNISHMENT YOU DESERVE!"

Clay was too appalled to realise, he was in a basement with a witch who despised him, and that he really should run for his life. But he was pulled out of his thoughts when the incantation began...

It sounded gibberish to Clay, but he knew that he was being cursed. When he tried to run, he found his legs were stuck in place.

He was trapped.

Different symbols were appearing around him, one of them was a ghost...

"What are you doing Emma?! Stop!"

She cackled at my feebleness, "You shall be stuck here, in this very basement til the end of time as a ghost. You will only turn back into a human when you find 'true love'. HAHAHAHAHA!" Before she disappeared into thin air.

And Clay, blacked out.

And when Clay wakes up, he will find himself as a ghost, without the ability to go to anywhere outside the basement. He was just stuck there, forever.

Unless he finds true love...
