"This is so weird, though!" Nya groaned, flopping back onto the couch of their house.

"We're, like, quarantined again or something!" Lloyd yelled in agreement.

"Okay, Nya, enough with the TV," Maya ordered, grabbing the remote.

"Hey!" Nya and Lloyd yelled, just as Maya clicked on the News.

"Take a break, kids," Maya rolled her eyes and smiled.

"A tornado watch has been issued for the city of..."

"Cool, tornado watch!" Lloyd yelled, sitting up in his seat.

"In the city of Haling Cove..."

"WHAT THE HECK?!!" Nya screamed loudly.

"KIDS, GET DOWN IMMEDIATELY!!" Maya yelled at the stairs.

"There's a tornado watch in Haling Cove, the news says!!" Lloyd shrieked.

"Edna, Wu, Misako, get the first-aid kit and the radio, and run down to the basement!" Maya shouted.

The three parents bursted into the living room and, taking Nya and Lloyd with them, ran to the basement.

"A tornado warning has been issued for the city of Haling Cove..."

"WHAT THE F--" Cole screamed, dashing down the stairs.

"Don't say it!" Vania yelled, covering his mouth.

All of them made their way to the basement. "Another tornado, for god's sake!" Skylor complained.

"Get down, cover your heads," Maya ordered, and they all obeyed.

A shrieking sound filled the room.

"AAAAH!!" Nya screamed, terrified. Lloyd, out of instinct, put his arm around her, since Jay and Kai were both across the room.

"It'll be okay," Lloyd said gently, but she was already in tears.

The shrieking sound got louder, and now they all heard wind. The windows thumped with hail and the rain poured down in sheets.

Nya, Jay, and Harumi were all crying, and so were Edna and Maya.

The hairs on their arms stood up as lightning struck somewhere near. Skylor and Kai tensed up.

"It's a massive EF-5 and one mile wide..." the lady on the radio spoke.

Cole began swearing under his breath.

All at once, they heard a bang, followed by a bunch of thumps.

They froze when the walls and floor buzzed with lightning.

"OH MY GOODNESS!!" Vania screamed. "We've been struck by lightning!!"

"WHAT??!!" Lloyd shouted, still hugging Nya.

"The tornado is going back up into the sky," The newslady informed.

"OH...oh thank goodness..." Skylor breathed.

The shrieking, thumping, and buzzing stopped all at once.

"Is anyone hurt?" Maya asked.

"Nya's heart is hurt," Kai said, looking at his sister.

"Aw, Nya..." Maya said, comforting her.

"Everyone okay?" she asked again.

"Yes," Lloyd muttered, so softly you could barely hear it.

"I'll go first," Edna said bravely, and slowly creaked open the basement door.

She gasped. "Oh my--"

"What happened, Mom?" Skylor called.

Edna sighed. "My goodness. It's all good. Just a little damage. But we did get a lightning strike, near the kitchen."

"Aw, that's where my bedroom is," Kai replied, shocked.

"Mom, let's go upstairs," Jay urged.

"Alright," Edna answered, leading them up the creaky stairs.

"My bedroom door!" Kai wailed, staring at the broken, twisted doorframe.

"Your bedroom's alright, just a few things fell down," Skylor remarked, looking around.

"Vania, our house!" Cole shrieked.

"Oh, right! We'll be right back," Vania replied, and they dashed down the stairs.

"Be careful," Misako warned.

Nya was hugging her mom, and Lloyd had been patting Wu on the back because he was freaked out.

"And the world is shattered into pieces," Skylor sang softly.

"What song is--" Kai was interrupted by Vania and Cole, who'd come back.

"Our house is okay!!" Cole informed them.

"Oh, thank goodness," Lloyd sighed.

Skylor's phone rang. She raised her eyebrows and picked it up.

"Oh, hi, Cindy...WAIT, WHAT?!" she screamed. "Oh, we'll be right there, no worries!"

"Mom!" Skylor screamed, whispering something into her mom's ear.

"Are you sure you can go?" She asked. "Wait, take your brother!"

"What is it?" Jay asked, chasing after his sister.

"I'll tell you in the car!" Skylor screamed back, slamming the door behind them.

"What happened?" Kai asked Edna.

"Emergency," was all she said.

Kai tensed up.

"Okay, guys, let's go check out your school," Maya told them.

"Oh no!" Nya wailed. "I hope it's not crushed."
