I tried really hard to not let what Louis had said to me back at the house affect me. I knew he was stressed, and Scott was going out of his way to flirt with me right in front of Louis . I tried to make small talk with him on the way to meet Liam's parents.
Niall had sent me a text, saying things were moving slowly with Gunner and his dad. He said they had barely had said two words to each other since his parents had arrived last night.
Niall was waiting for me on the porch. He practically came running over to Louis' truck. As soon as I got out of the truck, he grabbed me and hugged me.
"How are you feeling?" He whispered in my ear.
"Fine. "
"Lying bitch. Did you tell him?" Niall asked as he pulled away to look at me.
I shook my head. I could see the look of disappointment on his face.
"Hey, Ni. No love for your me?" Louis said as he walked up.
He took Niall in a big bear hug and spun him around. He started laughing and then told him to put him down.
"How are things with Li and his dad?" Louis asked, looking up to the house.
"Well...um...they really need to spend some time alone together, I think."
Liam had sent Louis a text and said that his dad's old best friend, Drake was so happy to see his dad that he pretty much came and took him to the barn for awhile.
"I was hoping maybe you could help Greg talk Liam into heading down there. Greg in there with him now." Niall asked Louis.
"Yeah sure, Ni, I can get him to do that. You okay with that, Harry?"
I smiled, trying to act like I really gave a rat's arse what he did. At this point, I was so tired and weak that I probably wouldn't have cared if he said he was going to Briana's.
"Yep, no worries. You all have fun catching up. "
Niall took me by the arm, and then we started to walk into the house.
The first person I saw was Karen.
She smiled and walked over to give me a hug.
"Congratulations on your engagement, Harry and Louis. I'm so very happy for both of you. "
Louis and I both said our thanks, and then Louis and Greg were somehow able to talk Liam into heading down to the barn.
As soon as they left and it was clear they were gone, the attack began.
"Why the hell have you not told him, Harry ? You said you were going to tell him this morning!" Niall yelled.
"Oh, Harry, honey. I have to agree with Niall . You need to let him know," Emma said as she wiped her hands on her apron. She walked over to give me a hug.
"Wait...what are we talking about?" Karen asked as she looked between the three of us.
"Well, um..." I had to start laughing. Jesus, everyone was going to know before Jeff. I needed to tell him tonight.
"Ni does she know?" I ask him "No but now is as good a time as any." Niall says taking deep breath.
"Karen first I want you to know I love you son more than anything and I hope what I fixings to tell you doesn't change the way you look at me. I'm assuming that you thought when Liam and decided to start a family we'd have to adopt right?" Niall ask making Karen nod. "Well the thing is Harry and I can both bare a child." Niall says making her jaw drop.
"Please say you don't see me differently?" Niall ask. "No honey, I'm surprised but I know how happy you make my son, but what does this have to do with Harry?" She ask
