"Parker!" Chester greeted, waving as Parker entered the room.

"Hey Chester, how are you?" Parker asked, his voice a bit scratchy at first but quickly righting itself as he spoke.

"Im alright, im so glad you guys turned around, you got here really fast though compared to how long you guys were gone," Chester noted with a chuckle. Parker smiled and nodded

"Well, i wanted to be sure you were okay, so I asked Officer Miles to hurry," Parker explained. Chester smiled and relaxed, he was happy to know Parker was okay.

Him however... not so much

"God i hope Chester isn't too worried," Parker said to Abby, his leg bouncing as he spoke.

"Relax, you seem more worried than he'd ever be, you look like you're worried that thing might be eating him right now or something," Abby joked in an attempt to calm Parker down. It didn't work

"Why would you say that! Now it is in my head! Thanks Abby!" Parker yelled back at her.

"We are almost there," the cop stated, turning at an intersection. The hospital was now in view.

Parker unbuckled his seatbelt as the car was put in park.

Abby followed Parker as he quickly jumped out of the car and ran to the front desk of the hospital.

"Hello how can i help you?" The lady asked, turning to Parker. When she was him, she smiled.

"Hey, can i see Chester?" He asked her, trying to look calm. The receptionist looked confused for a moment.

"Didn't you just go see him?" She asked. Parker glanced at Abby then back at the lady.

"No?"

"Then who did i just let in?"

Everyone went silent for a moment before it hit Parker and Abby that something was pretending to be Parker.

"Get the cops in there! Now! That is not me! It is the thing that attacked us!" Parker yelled, loud enough for security to be alerted. Parker began running towards the stairs, determined to get to Chester before anything happened, but was stopped by security.

"Please! Chester is in danger! Help him!" He shouted, tears pricking the corners of his eyes as he pushed against the security. The two men looked at each other and nodded, letting Parker go and following him up to the third floor.

Meanwhile, Chester sat contently, talking to Parker. However, a nurse sat on the other side of the room doing paper work, which was probably the only reason Chester was still alive.

The nurse looked at the small laptop she had pulled out and paused, looking from it to Parker with a worried and confused expression.

"Excuse me sir, may i talk to you in the hallway please," she asked, her voice slightly shaking as she hid her fear.

"Okay, what for?" Parker asked, standing up and walking towards her.

The nurse didn't reply and simply opened the door, holding it for parker. Chester looked confused and shifted in his bed.

The sound of the elevator ding and people running pored into the hall could be heard, frantic shouting down the hall confused everyone.

"What is happening?" Asked Chester loudly. The nurse panicked and shoved Parker out the door, shutting and locking it behind her.

"Parker?! What is going on?!" Chester yelled.

"That wasn't your friend!" The nurse said, running to his bedside and and urging him to stand up.

"What?!" Chester was in disbelief, if that wasn't Parker then who was it?! Chester got up and the nurse directed him to the storage closet of the room. She instructed him to stay put and closed the door, likely leaving to see how she could help with the situation.

Chester tried to steady his breathing as he panicked. Suddenly, the sound of gunshots could be heard from outside the room. Chester started shaking and sat down on the floor, scooting back against the wall.

Chester sat there for what felt like hours, listening to the conflict between whatever had impersonated Parker and the security. it was probably only 5 minutes though.

"CHESTER!" Shouted a voice once the hall had gone quiet. Chester didn't open the door but watched it with fear as the sound of many footsteps entered the room.

The door slowly opened and on the other side was a few police officers, a few nurses, Parker, and Abby.

"Chester! Thank god you're okay!" Parker cried, running into the closet and dropping to his knees i front of Chester. Chester jumped up and hugged Parker tightly, tears filling his eyes.

"Parker! It is really you! Thank goodness your okay too!" Chester said back.

The two sat there hugging for a while until one of the nurses cleared their throat. The men stopped hugging and awkwardly apologized.

Abby grinned and crossed her arms, both Parker and Chester scowled at her, not knowing the other was doing the same.

Parker helped Chester to his feet and back into his bed before explaining what had happened.

"When the thing was pushed out into the hall, it immediately shrieked and looked at us really madly! It looked like me, but, not me, if you get it, and then it deformed and turned into the thing it had been before, under the stairs. It started running at us but the cops started to shoot at it. It slowed it down but didn't stop it, i was worried out of my mind about what it might have done to you and if you were okay! When it got super close and about to reach for us, the nurse rammed into it with a stretcher and sent it flying out the window! The cops went after it while we all came to make sure you were okay!" Parker rambled. Chester just listened in awe.

After a while, things had died down and the officers started returning to where they needed to be, the nurses too.

About an hour later, the only ones left in the room were Parker, Chester, and Abby.

"Im exhausted guys," Abby yawned. It then hit them that Parker and Abby didn't have a place to stay and would likely have to stay at another motel.

"Abby, go outside and ask to use one of the computers, try to find a place for us to stay, I.. I want to talk to Chester," Parker smiled, turning away from Chester so he couldn't see his face. Abby chuckled and nodded, leaving the room and shutting the door behind her.

Parker turned back to Chester and smiled at him.

"I was so worried about you today, there were so many times I thought i was going to lose you and. I realize that scares me. A lot more than I thought it would," Parker began, resting his head on his arms as he leaned on the bed Chester was sat on.

Chester began to blush.

"The thought of losing you as a friend terrifies me, that's why I've been keeping a secret from you. And i feel bad because i was so pressed about you not keeping secrets from me," Parker continued, his face falling as he sat up straight. Chester immediately got nervous.

"Actually, i have been keeping something as secret from you too," Chester admitted

"Oh, well, we can get it off our chests now if you want," Parker offered. Chester thought for a moment.

"Alright, on 3," he agreed.

"One" they counted together

"Two"

"Three"
