It was now the beginning of September, after two dreadful weeks Mason decided he would patch things up with Scarlett. It was wearing on him to go so long without her to share his life with. He texted her asking if he could come over, it felt very foreign, normally he would just show up. It was a quick response telling him the front door was unlocked and he left for her house.

He arrived to see her in the kitchen waiting for her kettle to finish boiling. She gave a small smile at the sight of him, his hair was slightly grown out and he hadn't shave his facial hair in a few weeks. They moved to the living room to sit and Mason wasted no time apologizing.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have overstepped. It's just that I didn't want you getting wrapped up in games. You're deserve better than that, and Ben has a history of rinse and repeat when it comes to relationships," He explained.

"He wasn't like that with me. It wasn't a game, he wanted more than I could give him at the time. I broke things off with him to spare you, and I'm pretty sure Ben hates me now, so you have nothing to worry about. I'd be surprised if we could even be friends again," She sighed.

"I don't know. He's been just a gloomy as you, until he gets to training and then he let's all of his frustration out there. It's grim," Mason spoke.

It made her sad to think, Ben had been in just as much anguish as her. She wanted to talk to him, but was scared. This was her fault, she slept with Logan Paul just to spite him and she wouldn't blame him if he didn't want to speak to her. Ben would have to be the one to reach out she couldn't take the blow if he rejected her.

The days got brighter due to spending more time with Mason. Between him and Christian they we're constantly keeping Scarlett occupied, and she was back to posting on Instagram and YouTube after taking a three weeks off. Her fans were glad to see her back in a happier place, though her comments were still filled with hate and people wanting to know what happened between her and Ben.

The late September air swirled around Scarlett as she made her way into the training facility. She had a meeting with Alyssa to plan an upcoming collab. She hadn't told the boys about it so they were quite surprised to see her enter the weight room. Alyssa looked to the manager, asking for them to be ignored, as they were only working out details for a project. Tuchel told the boys to keep working as he walked over greeting Scarlett with a hug.

"It's good to see you. Are you here to film again?" He asked, not being quiet by any means.

"Not today, but in a few weeks," She kindly specified.

"Well, whatever you need, just ask. I'm sure any of the boys will be happy to help," Tuchel assured before walking away. Alyssa turned back to the girl explaining the video concept.

"We were thinking you could be one of the boys for the day. Like "a day in the life" kinda of video. It would give the fans a bit of insight, and you would train like a Chelsea player. It's two video's in one. We aren't sure who yet, it'll probably come down to who the fans are most curious to see, and who's willing," She explained as they moved across the room.  "And as for your video?"

"Obviously it'll be a football video. I'm just not sure what kind, the last one went so well. I could try rotating the players. Maybe get Jorginho, Timo, and Kai," She thought aloud.

Scarlett could see the boys had been dismissed, only a few of them stilling hanging around. One pair of blue eyes stuck out, she could find them in a sea of people because they were his. He looked the same, except, his dark hair that was normally slicked back, was free giving him curtain bangs. If anyone else looked at him they wouldn't notice that he seemed to be only the shell of a man, but she wasn't anyone. It was his eyes, the ones that were now looking into hers, they told a story— the kind that shatters your heart into a million pieces, and she could've read it forever.
