It was the second day of October as Scarlett sat at Stamford Bridge. She was talking to Sophia and Paula as the boys played the second half leading by one goal. They were heckling her about Ben after seeing how much time the two were spending together. It was no secret both of them were proud "Schilly" supporters.
Their focus returned to the game when Ben fouled a Southampton player in the box giving them a penalty. James Ward-Prowse stepped up and secured the equalizer causing Scarlett to worry. She knew the boys needed this win especially before meeting up with their national teams, again. Her nerves eased 16 minutes later when Ward-Prowse was given a red card leaving Southampton to play with 10 men. It had now started raining, but sitting in the family section had its perks as the girls remained dry.
Seven minutes later Timo gave them the lead tapping the ball into the back of the net. Paula was the first out of her seat as the three girls jumped up to celebrate. Scarlett found it adorable watching the proud girlfriend cheer for her man. As they sat back down Sophia and Scarlett began to kindly tease the girl about it causing her to blush.
A few minutes had passed and the boys were back at their end, Lukaku had tried to score but the keeper blocked it. Scarlett stood as Azpi made his attempt, only to hit the crossbar, sending the ball over to Ben. He volleyed it straight on target, but the keeper blocked it too. The whistle blew and the referee deemed it a goal saying it crossed the line. Scarlett was now the one jumping up and down as pride radiated off her, it made her so happy to see Ben score.
"Look at her. she looks like a wag cheering on her boyfriend," Paula laughed to Sophia but made sure Scarlett could hear.
"I'm just happy for him. It was a beautiful goal," Scarlett defended taking her seat.
"Ugh, it seems that's as close to a Schilly moment as we'll get anytime soon," Sophia jokingly pouted. Scarlett just rolled her eyes turning her attention to the rest of the game.
After the final whistle, the girls moved inside the stadium waiting for the boys with other family members. They were right outside the changing room and Sophia and Paula were still teasing Scarlett. It didn't bother her, she knew they were just having fun. Timo, Kai, and some of the other boys had come out. Scarlett stepped aside as she was still waiting for one of her friends. Sophia spotted Ben before Scarlett and told the others to watch. The group couldn't deny the way either of their faces lit up when they saw each other.
"They exhaust me. Why don't they just date already?" Kai dramatically sighed.
"They're working on their friendship," Paula reminded.
"What's the point when they look at each other like that? It's clear they are meant to be," Timo said watching Ben walk over to Scarlett.
"One training session with me and you're scoring goals like that?" Scarlett joked as she embraced Ben.
