Nancy walked in to her new favourite class. Robin was sat at her desk. She was talking to the boys until she smiled and waved at Nancy. "I've been waiting for you". Robin laughed. "You have? How chivalrous". Nancy smiled. Robin smirked. "So I can officially hang out with you now? In school?" Nancy nodded. "Robin you're like my best friend". The pair smirked. Eddie smiled watching the pair and Steve looked slightly confused. "How cute. Invite me to the wedding". Robin flipped him off and Nancy panicked. She wasn't scared. More nervous because he thought maybe they could be a couple. But they couldn't. Right?
"Nance you good?" Steve asked. "Yeah fine". Robin and Eddie laughed. Steve smiled. "Oh by the way we were thinking of having a get together. Like the kids maybe and you two. If you want". Steve asked. Eddie nodded and Nancy smiled and Robin. "Cool. Friday". They all concentrated towards the teacher and occasionally Nancy would draw little things like smiley faces on Robins book.
Steve and Robin headed home. "Can't believe I'm living with you. It's been 4 days". Robin laughed. Steve smiled. They sat down on the couch and turned the TV on. Robin was blabbering about things whilst Steve smiled and listened. "Steve you OD over there?" He snapped back to reality. "Yeah. Just I think I found this girl. She's smart. Funny. I've laughed harder with her than I have in a really long time. And it sucks because I've only just got to know this girl". Robins face dropped. "So?" Steve asked. "What?" Robin bit her lip. "What do you think of this girl?" Robin didn't know. "I think the guy isn't thinking straight. He knows nothing about who this girl is". Steve sat there confused. "When I told you that story about Clicks class. I didn't have a crush on you". Robin slowly panicked. "It's because she wouldn't stop staring at you". Steve tried to figure out who. "Mrs Click?" Steve asked. Robin paused and tried to work up the courage. "T-Tammy Thompson". Steve stared in confusion. "She wouldn't stop staring at you. And I wanted her to look at me. And you would have bagel crumbs in your hair and ask stupid questions. It made me just want to go home and scream into my pillow at night". Steve stared. "But Tammy Thompsons a girl?" Robin but her lip. "Steve." The man was confused until it hit him. "Yeah? Oh." Steve leaned back. "Yeah". The pair sat in silence. Steve didn't say a word or even flinch. "You ok over there Steve?" He shook his head. "Tammy Thompson? I mean she's cute but she wants be like a singer". Robin felt slightly less anxious as his remark.
"She's got dreams". Steve laughed. "She sounds like a muppet". The pair laughed. Robin and Steve began to impersonate the girl. The pair giggles until their ribs hurt. "So you're not gonna kick me out and put me to shame?" Robin asked. Steve smiled. "You're still cool. I don't mind. Guess we share something in common". The pair smiled. Steve moved closer and hugged her. Robin felt like she was supposed to be here with Steve. In a platonic way. They stayed up all night and talked about all of their girl crushes. Them laughing about the embarrassing Steve stories.
Nancy was walking around. She had a weird feeling in her stomach. Butterflies. She lay down with a diary writing every thought down. Until the phone rang. Her heart raced as the thought of Robin being on the other line made her feel ecstatic. She immediately answered. "Hello?" Nancy smiled. "Hi Nancy. Uh it's me Jonathan Byers. I was wondering if you were free Friday. I well am going to this party and thought I'd invite you. B-because I like you". Nancy stood there. "What?" She laughed in a confused way. "You don't have to". Nancy didn't know what she thought was happening. "Jonathan, listen you seem like a cool guy. But I'm not really interested. I'm so sorry". The line immediately hung up. Nancy scrunched her face and put the phone down. "Poor guy".
Robin sat with Steve eating a takeout. They'd finally regained composure. They watched a movie and Steve constantly paused it at a hot girl. "Hot?" Robin laughed. "Oh my god. Is that what hell feels like?" Steve smiled. The phone went. Steve answered it. "It's for you I think Rob". Robin shrugged and took the phone from Steve. "Hello?" Silence until a sharp heavy breath. "Stay away from Nancy. She's mine". Jonathan Byers? "What are you talking about?" Robin asked. "She rejected me and you have something to do with it I'm sure". Nancy rejected a guy. Unusual. "I haven't done anything. Listen get over it. She's one girl. There are millions more. Trust me. Goodbye". Robin slammed the phone down. "What a weirdo".
