Vampires have been appearing to me and Eros repeatedly over the past few days. Eros mentioned during the pack's general meeting that the vampires are becoming more active, and it seems he was right. Apart from their physical presence, there have been numerous reports on television and social media about vampire sightings.

As a result, our company's schedule has been altered. Eros now allows his employees to leave at five o'clock in the afternoon.

"Shouldn't vampires be afraid of the sun?" a female voice asked from behind.

I found myself in the elevator, descending to the ground floor to meet a client on behalf of Eros. My mate often seeks my opinion regarding company matters, and he frequently agrees with my suggestions.

Perhaps it's because one day I will also become the owner of this company. Despite my denial, I know that the day will come when I will fulfill my role as Luna to him, to the entire pack, and the people of Hildart will recognize me as his wife.

"Based on what I've seen and read, they should be afraid. But here, it appears that they are not. They continue to kill people even during the day," the other woman responded.

My attention returned to the conversation at hand. And their question mirrored the one I often ask myself. Just like the vampires I first encountered, they were unaffected by the scorching sun. However, the books I've read about our kind depict protagonists who shift forms from six in the evening until three in the morning. When they awaken as humans, they no longer recall what transpired during the night.

Those stories differ greatly from our reality. We have control over our shifts and retain our memories even in wolf form. Perhaps the same applies to vampires, and the information I've gathered about them might be inaccurate as well.

"I'm truly afraid that anyone could become a victim at any moment. They move so swiftly that they can kill you in an instant."

I feel sympathy for these people. Unlike us, they lack the ability to defend themselves. If only they weren't so cruel towards beings like us, we wouldn't need to conceal our identities. Unfortunately, many people are driven by their insatiable greed for money. Once they capture one of us, they will find a way to exploit our abilities for profit.

But the majority of us have never considered retaliating by brutalizing them or encroaching upon their territory. In fact, we have integrated with them in Alpha management, just as many of their kind have aided us.

"It's becoming increasingly difficult to trust anyone. What if those around us are one of them? There's no way to escape," concerned by the woman at my back.

Her words caught my attention. She seemed to imply something, and when I delved into her thoughts, I was not disappointed with what I discovered.

'What if this girl with us is one of them? We're in grave danger.'

As I had anticipated, they truly believed that I was a vampire as well. But I am not. I am a werewolf, a creature dedicated to protecting them no matter the circumstances.

The elevator chimed, signifying my arrival. I promptly stepped out and overheard a woman expressing gratitude for feeling safe in her thoughts. I briefly glanced at them before continuing towards the exit of Hildart. They were heading to a restaurant situated within the vicinity. Both women had long hair and appeared to be in their twenties. They were not employed here, and if I'm not mistaken, they were applying for jobs.

'Let's startle them hehe,' Nala playfully suggested in the back of my mind.

I scolded her, 'Behave.'

I shifted my attention away from the girls and proceeded outside of Hildart. Since I don't possess the skill to drive, I contacted the personal driver hired by Eros to take me to the meeting with Mr. Dencio.
