First off, to my parents who believed in me and all the creativity they endowed. My siblings, Jahlil and Jasmine, they are my loudest cheerleader and biggest supporters. I couldn't have asked for anything better.
Now, to the people who broke my heart, traumatized my teenage years, betrayed me, abandoned me, and lied to my face (you know who you are). Thank you, I love you, and I wish you all well. I've tried for many years to hate you, but I found that despite it all I have still remained kind; however, now I have this beautiful story of healing to share. And while forgiveness is no longer on the menu for you. Know that there is no resentment residing inside my bones. Only love and longing and hope that you live the most beautiful and fulfilling life. So, thank you for showing me who you are and thank you for letting me let you go.
