Three months have gone by since they started dating and things were going well. It was the first time Itachi had ventured into the dating world since his marriage ended. It was important to him to take things slow because he didn't want to make the same mistakes concerning his judgment. Naruto was more agreeable with taking things slow also wanting to really get to know each before becoming more serious. They both were surprised at how comfortable they felt in each other's presence. Their bickering whenever it happened was more playful and in the end Itachi always let the blonde be right.Naruto woke up not feeling the best all thanks to his disease. It was his weekend off and he had plans to spend it together with Itachi and Kiyoshi. They were taking Kiyoshi to the science museum that just opened. It was a hands on exhibit and Kiyoshi was excited to go. If it wasn't for that promise he had made to the child he'd cancel and stay home to sleep and do nothing.
He stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around his waist before catching himself on the ledge of the sink when the room began to spin. Of all days for him to feel this bad he thought as he sat down on the floor resting his head on his knees. At least there was no headache or nausea that usually followed the dizziness.
Once it faded he made his way to the bedroom and got dressed wearing a pair of fitted jeans and his favorite blue graphic INTO THE AM TREE shirt. He took time to gel his hair before heading to the kitchen.
He swallowed his vitamins with a glass of juice. No matter how long he's been taking them he still couldn't bear the taste yet they usually helped offset the fatigue as long as he paces himself and doesn't overdo it.
After fixing his coffee and pouring it into a ceramic tumbler, he slipped on his black Adidas and locked the door.
They were meeting at the café because Kiyoshi wanted to eat breakfast there before going to the museum. The child loves to eat either at his grandmother's or wants Naruto to make waffles. Itachi soon gave up his pout of defeat that his son prefers the others cooking because truth be told Naruto's waffles are delicious.
He hummed happily as he unlocked the door to the restaurant. The others would be arriving in an hour to open which gave them plenty of time to eat and be on their way. He quickly got to work and had the food plated just in time when the Uchihas walked thru the door.
"Good morning." He greeted them setting coffee for Itachi. "Good morning." Kiyoshi bowed politely. Itachi greeting Naruto with a warm smile and hug. They hadn't kissed yet the blonde waiting for the older man to initiate whenever he felt ready to do so.
"Are you excited for today?" Naruto asked sitting between them.
"Hai!" Kiyoshi exclaimed. "Daddy says we can go to the pet store afterwards and get a frog!"
Naruto gave Itachi a shocked look before morphing into a wide grin. "Are you serious?" He exclaimed just as excited as Kiyoshi. "That's awesome."
Itachi's eyes crescent with laughter at the blonde's childish excitement. He was such a kid at heart.
"Okay, we have to make a list of all the stuff we'll need and I know the perfect spot at the house where we can set up the aquarium and..." Naruto was about to continue his ranting until giggles interrupted him. Kiyoshi was giggling hard and Naruto immediately figured out why when he saw the expression on the older's face. Itachi had a bewildered gaze and Naruto couldn't help smirk at him. "What's all this taking over my house for a frog? I thought it lived in a fish bowl."
Naruto rolled his eyes, "You have to set up the right habitat." He huffed. "It's not a fish. You can't just cram it in a bowl." He said in a matter of fact tone.
