Itachi watches as Naruto sets a cup of Joe in front of him then patters around the kitchen making himself some tea that Kei has given him to soothe his aching muscles.  Though in the raven's mind he wasn't entirely sure it works, but the other swears by it.  What the Uchiha did know is that the tea has quieted down the latter's cravings and the complaints about not being able to drink coffee.  Even though their OBGYN explained that normally a cup a day wouldn't cause any harm but because of his Addison's in conjunction with being pregnant she recommended that he avoid all caffeine until after giving birth.

Naruto blew on the hot liquid before carefully drinking some.  Then he shuffled over to the refrigerator pulling out the bento boxes he prepared last night for their lunches.  He was accompanying Kiyoshi on a school trip to the aquarium.  Itachi's protective instinct was apprehensive about letting him go in his condition suggesting he go in his place but Naruto was adamant about going wanting to be involved with the child's school activities so Itachi decided not to fight him having learned to choose his battles carefully so as not to trigger a hormonal meltdown.

The raven sipped at the steaming cup quietly looking at him all the while unable to peel his eyes away as his pregnant husband works at packing their lunch and stirring at the pot of porridge for breakfast.

It's still a wonder that neither of them expected to have run up against the hard fact they have apparently made a baby together.  Then as their daughter gradually took over Naruto's lean petite figure it was becoming too obvious no matter what angle you looked at him from he's glowing healthy and his body where it was once muscular had softened, and his chest had filled out which they were told would remain like that until the baby was weaned.

The nausea had subsided some in the mornings but he's still suffering from heartburn and restless nights.  The natal child was starting to make walking difficult for him.  Of course, it's to be expected when the tiny Uchiha growing inside of him is now six months.  It's just that his husband was...heavy, very heavy with his child and the raven loves it.

The blonde waddles around and all Itachi can do is muffle his amusement watching him huff and puff and complain about how hard it is to breathe.

The Uchiha finds it adorable but Naruto doesn't think the same becoming easily annoyed with the restrictions being put on his body.

"Are you sure I can't help?"  Itachi volunteers once more before being shot down for the third time.  The blonde had a system in place for getting both husband and son off to their destinations in the morning.  He implemented the routine when he stopped working at the cafe and held fast to it saying it helped him cope with feeling overwhelmed.  Any interference was counterproductive and made him irritable.

"You can get Kiyoshi up and dressed." Naruto said glancing at the clock.  "His clothes are laid out on his chair."  He supplied taking another drink of his tea then getting bowls down from the cupboard.

"Got it."  Itachi said taking his coffee and going upstairs.

When he opened the door to Kiyoshi's bedroom he was surprised to see the boy already dressed.  "You're a little excited this morning."  He said ruffling the unruly inky strands the emerald greens dancing wide up at him, "Hai!  I'm gonna see sharks and we get to watch the dolphins do tricks!"  He said enthusiastically letting his father comb his hair.

"Hn.  Well make sure they don't eat you."  Itachi teased as he washed the small round face making sure to clean the sleepy goo from his eyes.

"Dad!  They aren't going to eat me.  They're behind glass except for the whales.  The teacher says they're friendly and we can even pet some of the fish."
