A hand holding the wall and his other hand at the underside of his belly their daughter very heavy on his hips making each step he took unbearable but they told him that walking would help.  He didn't believe them. Walking was miserable beyond words. Naruto sagged heavily onto Itachi where the raven also helped support the bump.

Ngh...," Naruto groaned, pressing a hand firmly against the wall and leaning into it.  Itachi rubbed his back.  It hurt in ways it never had before and the pain wrapped around his middle.  The Uchiha held onto his arm, softly counting and breathing through the exercises they had practiced at Lamaze class.  Naruto winced hunched over his stomach as it turned knotting tight.  It seemed to continue endlessly until finally easing up enough for him to catch his breath.  He found it difficult to breathe through every returning contraction and when the baby dug her head deeper into the birth canal, it didn't help any.  He was in the throes of labor so the doctors decided to let him continue towards the goal of a natural birth.  Although she was there, pressingly low at the entrance, an interstice he never knew existed, the problem was that it was taking forever for his cervix to stretch for their child's passage into the world.

He slowly stood up his back pulling from the weight it was hauling around. There was no release from the pressure no matter what he did.  "She's got to come out soon. I can't take this anymore."   Fisting the fabric covering Itachi's arms complaining as the spasms held on like a thread drained his energy.   "I want to lay down."  Releasing Itachi's arm both of his hands moving bent behind his back.

"Alright,"  Itachi said his hand under the oversized girth and an arm wrapped around the younger's waist they headed back to the hospital room at a snail's pace. Once they reached the threshold of their destination Naruto released a painful gasp clinging to the raven, his legs feeling like rubber as pain came rolling over him.  "... nigh!"  He yelped hunched over again clutching his belly that felt like concrete.  Itachi held him in place and Naruto leaned his weight into the strong form, the tightening reaching its peak.  "Ugh, Itachi! - Help me!"

"I'm here." The husky baritone vibrates in his ear.  "Deep breath in - out."

"Sh*t!"  The blonde cries his breathing ragged coming and going in quick gasps.

"You're doing great."  The raven's voice filled with compassion.

"I hate you already."  Naruto steeled slowly moving to stand straight after the two minutes it took to get to that point.  The pressure staying strong along his lower back.  "I want to shove her into you and make you deliver her!" He quips angrily.

"I wish I could."  Itachi genuinely admitted.
He knew it was the pain talking and not his Naruto.  He couldn't blame him for his frustration and the raven knew it was only going to get worse.

"You say it only because you know it's impossible!"  Naruto incensed louder than Itachi expected.

Itachi dared not smile but the sour mood his husband suddenly took on was tempting.
