Naruto walked into the kitchen the aroma flowing throughout the house filled his nostrils. Itachi had gone upstairs to change his clothes. They were meeting their mothers at the mall later because he and Itachi had been invited as special guests to Kei and Oliver's wedding, and he wanted something new to wear.

Both Oliver and Kei's parents threw a surprise baby and wedding shower which Itachi and Naruto had attended. The shower was a pleasant surprise for the expectant couple their family and friends helping them to get their lives as a new family off to a good start. Itachi and Naruto bought them outfits for the twins and gave them a red envelope wanting them to treat themselves to something special after the twins were born. They were excited for their friends' future, a story of childhood friends to lovers tying the knot before welcoming the babies into the world.

In spite that he was to be resting in the living room he took advantage of the raven being occupied upstairs to inspect what he had prepared for them to eat before heading out.

Looking around to make sure the coast was clear Naruto smiled seeing that Itachi had cooked Bulgogi with vegetables and porridge. He carefully lifted the lid taking the liberty of stirring the thick sweet sauce before giving it a taste. "Mmm. Not half bad." Praising his partner before adding more pepper. It wasn't that Itachi couldn't cook, it's just that he's been craving spicy foods.

Naruto placed the lid back on the pot just as the rice cooker pinged a signal that the fluffy grains were ready to eat. The sound startled him causing him to quickly turn around making sure he was still alone. Lately Itachi was being persistent about him staying put on the couch. If he wasn't policing after him it was Kiyoshi fussing over him. As much as he loves Kiyoshi he was happy that he was spending time with his grandfathers today leaving him to just having to deal with one Uchiha for the day.

He couldn't help but take the lid off of the second pan and grab a piece of the thin sliced beef along with a cooked carrot shoving it in his mouth instantly humming following a stomp of approval as the food coated his pallet in pure deliciousness both he and the baby impatient with having to wait to eat.

There was a glass lid covering a mound of sticky rice balls wrapped in roasted seaweed that made his palette water more. He was daring to take one when strong arms curled about his nonexistent waist. He stiffened when a low growl bathed in hot breath grazed against his ear. "What do you think you're doing?" Itachi said placing a kiss on the tan cheek. "You're supposed to resting."

"I'm pregnant not sick" Naruto scoffed before stretching his back. He'd come to the conclusion that incubating a human takes forever.

Resting his head against Itachi's shoulder, Naruto chuckled as he felt hands ghost over his belly, the feather light tickles through the material of his shirt, alerting their daughter of her daddy's touch. "Smells amazing." Naruto said tilting his head at an angle to kiss the older's cheek. Itachi accepted it graciously kissing him on the lips then relaxing his chin on the blonde's clavicle while massaging the swell that has gotten larger over the past few weeks so much so that the doctor felt the need to check to make sure there was only one fetus.

"But never as good as yours." Itachi said pulling his husband closer.

"Stop beating yourself up. I've already had a bite and it tastes amazing."

"Hn, just like you to be so kind." Smirking into the blonde's temple.

"What can I say, telling the truth makes for more flattery." Naruto said returning a smirk.

"Well, we prefer your cooking. Isn't that right, pumpkin? Your mommy's food is the best." Itachi chided. His eyes wide watching in awe as Naruto's belly moved up and out making it appear alien shape. Itachi noticed that she was definitely more active than Kiyoshi had been when Cassandra was pregnant with him making him wonder if she'll be as hyper as she is now after she's born.
