Chapter Ten

The planet of their destined meeting was rather a strange one. It was as if Tatooine met the Jedi Temple. The capital was instead a town, made of temples and old houses.
His hood was up, covering his face.
His angel was gone. Pain surged to his heart, squeezing his heart within itself , cutting his breath away.
He gasped as he tried to push throw his grief.
He remembered how happy they were for the baby. She was looking forward to go and start with the baby's room.
She was standing in the balcony brushing her beautiful curly locks "Ani, I want to have our baby back on Naboo. we can go to lake county where no one will know, where we can be safe." she turned and looked at him "I can go early and fix the baby's room. I know the perfect spot.
right by the gardens "
He was mesmerized by her beauty "You are so... beautiful"
"it's only because I'm so in love"
"no" he chuckled "no. it's because I'm so in love with you"
"so love has blinded you?"
He couldn't help but to chuckle again. "well that's not exactly what I meant"
"but it's probably true" she smiled brightly at him.
Grief consumed his very being.
The wind was howling , causing his cloak to dance. Obi-Wan and him had separated to check out the place, to make sure there wasn't any trap. The two Jedis knew they wouldn't harm the alliance or Anakin's son on that matter but the opposite party didn't. They had no reason to trust them so they might've spread a trap for them to fall into.
The blonde's face came to his mind. The blonde was a regular visitor of his thoughts since the first time his eyes fall on him.
Luke. his and Padme's child. The boy who looked right into his eyes without a hint of realization that he was his dad.
The grief deemed his force presence . he could feel it himself. or perhaps it was this timeline's grimness rubbing on him.he wondered how Luke's presence stayed so bright living in this universe.
He remembered how the joy he felt once he learnt of his wife's pregnancy.
His wife's death,his friend's and mentor's fall , this universe on its own muted his joy.
But he was happy. His son was alive. And was doing well aside from being hunted down by the whole galaxy.
His thoughts fall on Padme again. he has to know her circumstance of death. Did his dream come true? Palpatine's face took over Padme's. he could feel anger mixing with his grief.
How could he betray them? Him?

After the betrayal of Jedis, Chancellor Palpatine, who was directly assaulted by the Jedi traitors and survived the attempt on his life, was elected by the senate to fully take control of the galaxy.

What if it was rather right? What if Palpatine has fallen after the attempt on his life? The Jedi council was falling that was no secret to him. but he couldn't see Master Yoda or Windu letting anything happen to the chancellor. He and Obi-Wan were not there, presumably dead. the council gave him a spying job. He sighed. they were right. Or...
What if Yoda and Windu were also dead by then?

"Did Vader send you?" he remembered Bail Organa's daughter's words.
he remembered Obi-Wan telling him what Dooku told him when he was captured in Geonosis "what if I told you that the republic was now under the control of the dark lord of the Sith?"

What If it was Darth Vader all along? But why he wasn't the emperor? perhaps Palpatine was but a pawn for him? he could rule without taking all the blame?
But who was Darth Vader? There was no Darth Vader from when they came.
He must've came forward after the fall of the Republic, once he knew he was safe enough to show his face. Such a coward! he thought angrily. exactly what Siths are! Coward murders!
Organa's voice echoed through his head "Did Vader send you?"

he could feel anger consume him entirely.
A Sith Lord was hunting down His Son!
Padme, Palpatine, His Mother, The Jedis he had failed them all! But not his son! He won't let the boy die! Luke Skywalker would survive. he makes sure of it. His child, her Child will live by any means necessary!
He already had circled the whole town he could see Obi-Wan coming in his direction.

Luke was excited to meet the Jedis. He truly was. Well, at least that was what he was trying to make everyone else believe.
He was excited. He was excited till he landed his X-wing inside the hanger and climbed down his ship .talked to his colleagues, played roughed with Wedge, and greeted that Lord.
That man's words kept replaying in his head "anyone can fall, child"
