Kazz's POV

Somewhere at a port, late at night....

I quickly ran over the chain length fence that held the perimeter of the area. guards were everywhere, expecting the nightrunners to show up any moment to rescue Monika. not realizing they were facing the ghost. sticking to the shadows i survey the area of where they could be holding her. numerous patrols pair by twos, mostly armed with assault rifles or shotguns on their person.

i needed to get to a higher vantage point as i scaled the closest building to me. it looked like a warehouse based on its size as i reached the roof. i looked around, making sure no one saw me as i took another glance everyone the port. there were a few other buildings in the area, some were lit while others weren't. As i wonder if Monika was in one of them, i saw a yacht docked right by one of the docks as there was numerous people patrolling it. if that's where she is, ill save her...no matter the costs.

i look below to see two men having a smoke as they had their rifles on their back. unsheathing my katana, i ready my blade and jumped onto one him, my weapon stabbing down into collarbone through his body as the force brought him to his knees.

"wha?!" the other guard gasped but i quickly spun and threw a kunai at his throat to slience him. His immediate action cause him to grab the handle with both hands as he fell on his back, blood oozing out of his mouth. pulling my katana out of first dead man, i flick my blade to throw off any blood or human meat that clung to the teeth before i continued on. these people are going to regret taking the girl i care about.

i approached some storage containers as i hid in one that was empty. i heard footsteps coming close. i saw a man about a few years older than me, on a cell phone with his back facing me.

"yes she's secured on the dock with three men." he said. "no signs of the others yet. yes sir...understood." he said as he ended the call. i crept close and ready my knife as i kick the back of his leg to force him on his knee, covering his mouth with my left hand.

"Im right here asshole." i snarled as i slit his throat through his moaning cries until he couldn't anymore. so Monika is on the yacht. this will save me time and now i know where she is. but soon someone will find the bodies and the place will be on alert. i have to get to her fast! the fastest way i had to get to it was to go through a warehouse closest to the dock as multiple fences with razor wire preventing me from going around. unfortunately this building was lit; which meant there might be people inside.

i approach the door and quietly open it and slip inside, closing it behind me as i crept in what shadows or cover i could. i could hear people talking inside deeper in the building. i shuffled along the boxes that kept me hidden as i decided to listen in on what they were saying.

"does the boss think the those other night runners will show up?"

"at least he believes the boyfriend know as 'the ghost' will come and rescue her. but he be foolish to come here and think he can rescue her by himself. we have guards all over this port."

"but the rumors of what he and the nightrunners have done are still get me on edge. how can five people accomplish what they have so far?"

"they are a tenacious bunch that's for sure. But we got the jump on them now now that their leader is captured." they all chuckled as i gritted my teeth.

"delta 4! delta 4! come in over!" i heard a walkie talkie blaring.

"delta 4 here. what's going on echo 2?" one of the men responded.

"we have two men down right by warehouse 1! they have to be here!"

Shit! the element of surprise is already gone!? i drew my guns out of my holsters as the men sounded like they were grabbing guns off the table.
