Elia was awoken by the throbbing pain on her forehead. She sat down, covered in sweat and she could feel her body giving up on her.
"No," She cried in silence.
James stood outside of the house, holding a blue file that contained the agreement for the wedding planner contract. He fixed his tie and knocked on the door. It was Andy and Roller that answered.
"Morning, sir," James cleared his throat and greeted the old man. "My name is James Regsun and I am here to-"
"Wait," Andy stopped him. "Regsun? Like the Regsun Corporation?"
"Yes, I am. I guess you know who I am, then."
"Of course, Regsun is known internationally for marine diamond mining. I used to work in one of the Regsun branches as a manager many years ago."
"What's your name, sir?"
"Andy Realton."
"From Miami branch, I presume?"
"Yes, correct. You know me?"
"I have heard about you...the story how your ex-wife came finding for you at the office to apologise...for cheating, right?"
"We were never married, but the story's true." He saw the file and asked, "What business do you have at my house?"
"I am here to see Miss...Elisa for the wedding planner job."
"It's Elia, and ah yes, she told me about this yesterday. She's handling your wedding?"
"Yes, sir."
"Please, come in. I think she's still sleeping, I guess if you don't mind waiting, I can serve you some butterfly pea flower tea. And, I had just finished baking some buttery croissants."
"Sounds great."
Elia woke up again, the sun was beaming straight at her face. Andy must have opened the curtains. She sat down, feeling thirsty. The pain was gone, that's good, for now. She finished the water from the bottle next to her bed and wore her bunny slippers. She yawned and scratched her shoulder. She could smell fresh croissants.
She went down the stairs and straight to the kitchen. Her heart dropped. James was sitting there, chatting with Andy. She tried to hide but he had already seen her in the worst most possible form. Her long untied messy hair, pink Pajamas and let's not forget the bunny slippers.
"Morning," he raised his cup, trying to hold in his laughter. He looked away as soon as he was done greeting.
"Morning..." she stuttered. Shit, someone please kill me now. "What are you doing here?"
"For this," he pointed at the file resting on the table in front of him. "And for the tea."
Andy turned around and his heart dropped too. How could she show up like this when there's a guest at home. "Oh, my god," he whispered under his breathe. He gestured her to go and get ready.
"I'm going to get ready," she quickly responded and ran upstairs.
James tried to take sip of the tea but ended up bursting out in laughter. Andy couldn't hold in either. Upstairs, as she was about to shut the door, the sweet yet painful sound of their laughter made her cringe. Could this get any worse.
