CHAPTER 14 (Godmother)

Chaeyoung arrive at Kim's residence. She knocked twice and wait for someone to open it. She saw that the brunette was crying and hugged her immediately. She hugged her back. Jennie cried more on Chaeyoung's chest.

"I thought I lost you Jagi. Please don't leave me like that again. I almost loose my sane Jagi." Jennie said. The blonde caress Jennie's back.

"Don't worry Jagiya. I'm here. Safe and sound. I won't leave. Where's Mr. Kim? I have to tell hime something. About what happen earlier." Chaeyoung said. The brunette looked up at her and peck the blonde's lips.

"He's upstairs. He's in his office. Let's go. I'll go with you. " Jennie said and gently intertwined their hands but the blonde pulls away.

"Don't. We still want to keep this a secret. Remember?" Chaeyoung whispered but the brunette ignored her and grab Chaeyoung's hands. She smiled towards her.

"I don't care anymore. I want my Dad to know about us. He will accept us." Jennie confidently said.

The couple walk hand in hand, they saw the office and went inside.

"Jennie I'm glad you stopped crying. I'm so worried about you honey." Jennie's father said.

"I'm fine Dad. I want you to meet Park Chaeyoung. She's my lover. She saved me last time and earlier. Jagiya, He's my father. Jaehyun Kim." Jennie said. The blonde bowed at him and politely respond.

"Nice to meet you Mr. Kim. You can call me Chae. I'm also Miss Jennie Kim's bodyguard." Chaeyoung decided to offsr a handshake. The man accepted the handshake.

"Don't you dare hurt my daughter Chae. I'll hunt you in your dreams if you did. I love my daughter, she's all I have." Jennie's father said coldly. The blonde gulped and nod.

"You don't have to worry about that Mr. Kim. I may not say something promising but I will always protect Jennie at all cost. You have my word Mr. Kim." Chaeyoung said.

"I know you will. What happened earlier? Jennie said you pretended to be her. Why would you do that?" Mr. Kim said.

"I don't want Jennie to be in danger. I want to know who's the person behind the gunshot and who tried to kidnap her. Suprisingly the men who took me earlier didn't use force or violence against me. I asked them who they're working with, all they said is a woman who didn't age more than 40. Do you perhaps know someone Mr. Kim? Someone who wants Jennie?" Chaeyoung asked. The man stood up and walk. He looked outside and he knows who would it be.

"I think I have an idea about that woman but I'm not sure if she really is the woman you're talking to. All I know, she want Jennie to be with her. She keep claiming that Jennie was her daughter."

"Who is she dad? Is she? Don't tell me that's her dad." Jennie said frightenedly.

"I'm not sure honey but I won't let her near you. I promise. Daddy will make sure she won't be close with you." Jennie's father said and hugged Jennie. The blonde was confused as who is the woman they're talking to. "Please take a rest Jennie. I will just talk with Chaeyoung for a minute. I will immediately send her to your room." Jennie heard her father and kissed Chaehoung cheek. When Jennie left the blonde woman looked at Mr. Kim.

"What can I do for you Mr. Kim? Who's the woman you're talking about? Why Jennie looked afraid of her?" Chaeyoung continuedly asked. The man sighed and she looked at the blonde.

"She's Jennie's godmother. Before. She and Jennie's mom are bestfriends. Jennie's mother, Minhee. Was so glad when she heard that she will bare a little girl. She immediately told it to her bestfriend Jinyoung. Her bestfriend was so jealous to Minhee as she already have a family which both of them dreamed about. When Jennie was born, we saw how protective she is to Jennie. Minhee and I got scared and we choose to avoid her. When Jennie was 8 years old, she was lost. We looked everywhere and we called Jinyoung then asked her if Jennie was in her house. Jinyoung denied and we know that she's hiding Jennie. We immediately went to her house and we saw Jennie inside. She was crying outloud and Minhee ran inside. She took Jennie but Jinyoung didn't let her. I was the one who took Jennie and Minhee told me to go. We run away but I heard a gunshot inside the house. I immediately went back while carrying Jennie. I felt like my world crashed down when I saw Minhee's body on the ground. She was shot in her chest then I look around Jinyoung already escaped. I know she shot Minhee. They are the only one at the house. I filed a charge against Jinyoung and she got convicted. I didn't know any other woman who want Jennie. Jinyoung is all I know who could do that." Jennie's father explained. Chaeyoung was thinking and decided to asked Mr. Kim.
