He takes it and eats his wife's leftover ice cream with utmost pleasure, while villagers start murmuring.
One of them tell the other person, "Did you see what Barrister Babu is doing, he always does against our traditions..."
Bondita observed all of them and was about to bash them with an answer, but gets stopped by Anirudh.
"Pati babu,let me answer them... I can't bear anything said against you..."
"Bondita.. Bondita... Calm down... there's no need to answer them... Leave it..."
"What leave it... Is this you Pati babu.. why aren't you letting me go..."
"Bondita... It's better to be silent than answering to the ones don't understand... They only one see the side of it... They don't understand the love... They don't understand the affection... It's just like play pleasing music infront of a deaf person... So leave all that..."
They reach their home in the evening.
"How's your day Bondita... How's the surprise Anirudh..."
"Sampoorna maa... You that Bondita is going to give me a surprise..."
"Haa, i know... Bondita told me this morning..."
"Hmm... Sisters are together in this haaa... Nice... And yes... The surprise was tremendous..."
Bondita gently smiles, underneath she feels bad for villagers talking about Anirudh. Anirudh observes her,
"Accha, i gonna cook dinner to night for both the sisters..."
"No Anirudh... No... You will get into the kitchen..."
"Arey, no sampoorna ma... I will cook for you and Bondita that's it... No more objections..."
"Accha ok ok.. let me help atleast..."
"No, you please take rest... Bondita will help me.. okay Bondita..."
"Yes... Haa i will help pati babu.. you please sit didi..."
"So now Sampoorna ma, please sit down take rest... We here at your service" both of them bow to her.
Sampoorna laughs, "Arey baba... Okay fine..."
Anirudh and Bondita start preparing dinner to night. Anirudh gets clumsy and burns his fingers, Bondita rapidly pours water on it so that the pain relaxes. She gently pecks a kiss on his fingers. Anirudh knew Bondita wasn't in a good mood that day, he tried to convince her saying it's not important what people think or talk about you. It's important how you do things so that, they themselves go quiet. Efforts work and Bondita gets off from the dull mood and they both prepare dinner.
Anidita make the dinner table, he brings food and Bondita arranges the plates. They make sampoorna to sit and serve dinner to her.
"Let's have dinner together, please don't me feel alone while eating..." They both agree and have dinner together sharing all that happened from morning.
After dinner, Anirudh helps Bondita in cleaning kitchen. And they finally go their respective rooms. Anidita talk how satisfiying it was that day and slowly drift into sleep.
