It was dry period for Anirudh Roy Choudhury, Bondita has gone to Krishna Nagar. Anirudh carefully dropped her at Krishna Nagar and left her with a heavy heart. He had work to attend at Deenpur, so he couldn't accompany her. They used to talk at nights after dinner till midnight. Both of them had a hard time living far away from eachother, but as it's Sumati maa's and Thakumaa's wish that Bondita has to stay at least for a week.
It was mid-day of the week, as usual Anirudh and Bondita are on phone sharing what had happened all the day long. The distance made him torment, but Bondita tried very hard to maintain herself strong as it's paramount to her now.
"When are you coming my wifey?! I miss you a lot...."
A chuckle escaped from Bondita listening to her 30 year old kid, "it's only 3 days more pati babu, come to Krishna Nagar on Sunday...."
"You don't have to say dear patni babu... I have been counting days.... the distance feels like eternity..."
They talk for a while and drift into sleep.
It's next morning, Kaka came down and saw his nephew sleeping on the couch beside the telephone. He creases his hair and wakes him up, "Go get some sleep in your room..."
Anirudh smiles and goes to his bedroom in a dizzy state. The attempts to sleep had gone unveil. He finally got up and decided to go and check the construction of public toilets at Deenpur. It was early in the morning but he decided to go out for a cool breeze and then to the construction.
He checked the place, he's happy that most of the construction was done and just the painting was left. He headed back to haveli.
And there begins a breakfast table conversation.
