"Can you do anything right? How am I supposed to help cheer you guys on when you can't even play properly?" the cheerleader sassily snaps at the panting male in front of him who is currently sending him a not-so-friendly stare. "I look good and the routines I help create are top notch. I can't be wasting them on a team whose captain can't even control them or get them to work as a team long enough for them to-"
"Just shut up, Taehyung. We are not the same. You're captain of the cheerleading squad. I'm captain of the football team. It takes a lot more for me to work with my team. Most of yours are girls anyway," Jeongguk shoves his shoulder.
Offended, the cheerleading captain straightens himself. "You have no idea what women are capable of. Looking down on them just because they're female is pretty misogynistic of you. They can be just as hard to handle as any man,"
"Tell it to someone who cares, alright? I have shit to do. I don't care about your dumb routines and I don't give a shit if you're not happy with the football team. It's my responsibility so get out of my business. We're in college. Stop acting like a high school brat," Jeongguk shoves passed the fuming male and walks out the locker room.
"Brat!?" Taehyung swings around to tear into him but the door clicks shut indicating he's already left. "That ass. I hate him. Arrogant, pig-headed,-"
"-bratty, whiny cheerleader," Jeongguk grumbles under his breath. He's brought out of his thoughts when a hand smacks him on the back.
"Sorry about today. I know we're not allowed to start petty fights on the field when we're practicing or playing a match. He antagonized me and I rose to the bait," Hyunjin looks at his captain with pleading eyes.
Jeongguk sighs in defeat, "It's fine but next time it won't go without punishment. He's new to the team so he doesn't know all the rules and he's full of himself, we'll put an end to that soon. Coach was pissed that a fight broke out between you two in the middle of practice and I had that bitchy cheerleader up my ass earlier,"
"Oh you mean Taehyung? So did you guys have angry sex in the locker room?" wiggling his eyebrows as he asks this. When Jeongguk turns and attempts to grab Hyunjin into a headlock he maneuvers out the way and dashes down the corridor, laughing like a maniac.
"Tae. I don't even know why you bother to pick fights with him. You two have been at each other's throats since you met. The best thing is to say nothing. Just go out there on the day of the match and do your best. Let them do their thing and you do yours," Hwasa tosses a piece of her banana peel at him as she says this.
"You just don't get it," Taehyung mumbles irritably. Hwasa simply sighs in defeat letting the topic drop since it's clear that her friend is in deep denial.
Over the next week Jeongguk and Taehyung have it out with each other almost every single day. It's been this way for the last two years. Every time a match was scheduled they would get progressively more aggressive towards each other. Taunting, insulting and shoving each other whenever they crossed paths. Taking out their stressors as captains on each other.
As one would imagine the worst of it is the day before the match.
"Can you not see us practicing?! That could've broken my nose or something!" Taehyung shouts in outrage. Both the football and cheer team are practicing on the field. Jeongguk passed the ball to one of his teammates who kicked it too far and it came flying straight at the cluster of cheerleaders going over their routine, almost whacking Taehyung in the face.
"It was a mistake, Sasha," Jeongguk replies dryly. Jeongguk began calling Taehyung 'Sasha' from The Bratz due to his sassiness and his overall personality of perfectionism and fiery temper and of course a constant reminder that Jeongguk views him as a brat.
