Prompt: Run!

Character: Gambit x reader

Remy and Y/n were walking around town hand in hand.

"Cher is there anything you need?" Remy asked in his cajun accent.

"No dear but thank you for offering."

Vegas was not New Orleans but it felt like home to them.

Y/n sighed.

"What's wrong Cher?"

"Just thinking about the past."

Remy nodded and pulled her to a shop.

"Cher, I want you to come with me tonight."

"Okay."

They found a cute dress for her to wear and a pair of shoes to go with it.

That night, they were sitting at a table playing poker when all hell broke loose.

Y/n turned to Remy and tried to get to him.

She used her mutant powers and was able to stop a few of the people.

"No Cher." Remy said after he got next to her. "Run!"

"I'm not leaving you!"

Remy pulled her into his arms and kissed her.

"Please Y/n. I can't let them get you."

Y/n nodded with tears in her eyes.

"Okay. But I will find you."

"I know mi amor."

Y/n kissed him. "I love you."

"I love you too Cher."

Y/n turned and ran.
