Prompt: I don't even know you!

Character: Finnick Odair x reader

Finnick sighed as he sat next to the hospital bed with his head in his hands.

It had only been a few days since his team had stormed the capital to save Joanna, Peta and Y/n.

Joanna and Peta were fine but Y/n wasn't. Before they used anything on Peta, Joanna and Y/n were the experiments.

Y/n had been found unconscious and transferred to medical.

Katniss had visited a few times to check on her and Finnick.

"She helped save him."

Finnick was almost ready to give up.

Their little boy hadn't seen her for months and now it was hard to tell him to wait until she woke up.

Annie had told Finnick that she would help with the boy while they figured out what happened.

There were a few days during the games that he had wished she didn't volunteer in place of Annie but those thoughts left his mind when he saw her protect the others.

Until now.

"Seeing you like this in a bed was the nightmare I was trying to prevent."

He held her hand and let the tears fall.

Her fingers twitched and he looked up.

"Hold on honey." He ran to the door. "Doc, she's waking up!"

He ran back over to her side and grabbed her hand.

Y/n opened her eyes and blinked a few times.

She felt someone holding her hand and turned her head to see the man that Snow had warned her about.

Y/n screamed

Peta ran into the room with the doctor and Katniss.

He ran over to the bed and talked softly to her while Katniss talked to Finnick.

"Easy Y/n, the doctor is just going to make sure everything is okay."

"Okay Peta."

Katniss, Peta and Finnick all stepped out and Peta turned to Finnick.

"Whatever they did had a different effect on her Finnick." He said with a sad face. "She might not remember you."

"What?"

"Finnick just calm down."

"Don't tell me to calm down Katniss. After everything she's been through, I was there for her."

"I know. But Snow did too."

"So your saying he took all the good she ever knew and destroyed it?"

"We don't know."

"The day I met her was the day I fell in love. When she won, I ran down to the arena and held her as she screamed because they turned her into a monster."

The doctor came out and looked at Finnick.

He rushed over to see if everything was okay.

Katniss and Peta followed.

"The only thing that wasn't normal was her hormone levels. She is suffering from memory loss."

"Thanks doc."

"You're welcome." He handed him a bottle of pills. "She needs to take one every day for the next five months."

"These are vitamins." Finnick said.

"Yes, the same ones she had five years ago."

Finnick's frown changed.

"Congrats kid." Doc said walking away.

Finnick walked in and sat down.

"What do you want."

Y/n, I know you are having a hard time."

"Really?"

"Yes, I'm here if you need me."

"I don't even know you!"

Finnick froze.

Annie walked in with a tray of food and a book.

"Y/n, I know you might not remember me but I'm a friend. Please eat some food and take the medicine. This book is for you to look at."

"Why do you care."

Finnick sighed.

"Just look at the book Y/n. It will help."

"Fine." Y/n took everything and turned away.

They walked to the door and talked.

"She needs to see him."

"I don't know Annie. What if she doesn't remember him?"

"It's worth trying. The book will only help her so much."

"I know." He signed. "I'm just worried. They did all those things to her. We don't even know if it had any effect on the baby."

"Seeing your son might jog her memory."

Finnick nodded. "Okay."

He walked back over as Annie left.

Y/n looked up with tears in her eyes.

"Did all of this really happen?"

"Yes." He sat next to her. "We got married after your games. We were 17. Five years ago we had a son."

"Where is he?"

"Annie went to get him."

"Mommy!"

A little boy ran up and jumped on her bed.

"Easy bud. She's had a long day."

Y/n wrapped her arms around the little boy.

"Everything okay Y/n?"

She looked at him and let the tears fall. "Oh my God. Finnick... I remember everything."

He got on the bed with them.

"I tried to stop them. I really did."

"Hey, it's okay. You're safe now."

They held each other close.

"Now maybe we can be happy for the rest of our lives."

"All four of us."

"Yes all four of us."
