Prompt: Stay

Character: Bucky Barnes

Bucky sighed at he watched the trees go by.

Him and Sam were in a car heading to Steve's house.

When they got there, they saw two cars in the driveway.

Steve was at the door with a friend.

Bucky and Sam got out of the car and walked up to them.

"Hey Steve. Who's the pretty lady?"

"Hi there. I'm (Y/n). You must be Sam."

"Yes ma'am."

"Well I better get going. I'll stop by tomorrow to get that fence done Steve."

"Sounds good Little Wolf."

Bucky froze. "Steve, what did you just call her?"

"I had a feeling you would know her."

"Sorry, I really have to go before something happens."

"It's okay kid. See you tomorrow."

Bucky stayed with Steve that night and woke up really early.

"Steve, I honestly don't know why you want to help me."

"Because they hurt you and I know you're not a bad person."

"I've changed from all those years ago. I'm not the same sweet inoccent thing I used to be."

"It's not all bad though."

"Really? SHIELD trained me to be a soldier and HYDRA forced me to become a killer. I still have really bad days."

"I know."

"Look, if he's here, I'm just going to finish the fence and leave. I can't handle the rejection."

Bucky walked into the kitchen and put his arms around her.

"Stay?"

(Y/n) broke. "You remember?"

"Yeah. Please let me fix it."

She smiled and turned in his arms.

"You already did." She kissed him on the cheek. "And yes I'll stay."
