Niki and Heeseung are dormmates in college, and somehow, Niki can't seem to sleep.
He rolls side by side uncomfortably.
"Can't sleep, Niki?" Heeseung asked
"Yeah, I'm so uncomfortable right now." Niki sits up, and so does Heeseung.
Silence then fills the room, until Niki sparks an idea.
"Can you sing a song for me? So I can sleep?" Niki suggested.
Heeseung felt a bit shocked, but smiled warmly at what he thought was a cute request from the maknae.
"Sure. Lay down, Niki." Niki lays back down and puts his blanket over him.
Heeseung prepares to sing, and Niki is surprised he already knew what to sing.
The thing is, Heeseung was kind of waiting for this moment. He sometimes would imagine what it would be like to sing Niki to sleep.
Now, it has become a reality.
Heeseung gently sings off my face, like it's a lullaby for a baby.
One touch and you got me stoned
Higher than I've ever known
You call the shots and I follow
Heeseung gently puts his hand around Niki's face, and caresses his hair.
Sunrise, but the night still young
No words, but we speak in tongues
If you let me, I might say too much
Niki raises up his blanket and smiles at his hyung's angelic voice.
Your touch blurred my vision
It's your world and I'm just in it
Even sober I'm not thinkin' straight
Niki closes his eyes, not because he's sleepy, but because he wants to focus on his hyung's voice. He also smiles, and Heeseung notices that. So, his thumb caresses his cheek in adoration of the younger.
'Cause I'm off my face, in love with you
I'm out my head, so into you
Heeseung sings it gently, while noticing the younger's eyelids start to close.
And I don't know how you do it
But I'm forever ruined by you, ooh-ooh-ooh
Heeseung smiles at the younger, while Niki starts to fix his position, meaning, he's getting ready to sleep.
Can't sleep 'cause I'm way too buzzed
Too late, now you're in my blood
I don't hate the way you keep me up
Heeseung looks at the younger, like telling him this specific part is meant for him.
Your touch blurred my vision
It's your world and I'm just in it
Even sober I'm not thinkin' straight
Heeseung sings even more gentle than before, because now Niki is asleep.

I'm out my head, so into you
And I don't know how you do it

He caresses his cheek and hair once again.
He smiles at the younger before preparing to sing again.

To Heeseung's surprise, Niki grabs his left hand and cuddles it. 'Cute' Heeseung thinks and smiles at it.
Ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh
Heeseung then continues, slowly, and calmly. He gently caresses Niki's cheeks with his right hand.
'Cause I'm off my face, in love with you
I'm out my head, so into you
And I don't know how you do it
But I'm forever ruined by you, ooh-ooh-ooh
By you, ooh-ooh-ooh
Heeseung gently kisses Niki's forehead.
"Goodnight, my lovely baby Iki."
Heeseung smiles once again.
But, why did he know what to sing for the younger already? Well, he wanted to express his long time feelings for him through this song. He prepared lots of other songs to sing for Niki when the younger wants him to, but it seems more memorable for him to sing this song first. Why?
He confessed to him using the song.
While he was still awake, Niki wondered why he chose 'Off My Face' as to sing for him to sleep. Well, if it's what he thought the reason was,
Maybe he'll plan on confessing his feelings for him too.
