Vegeta x Goku x Reader: Trapped in the Middle

A Missing Book

You two fell asleep quickly, into a deep sleep.

When you woke up in your dream, you were standing outside a store; you took a step back and realized what memory you were in. You looked up to see the bookstore logo, when your eyes looked back down into the store, they were met with Vegeta's. You remembered standing out front waiting for him, peering inside to reassure yourself that he was not that far away. If you needed him, all you had to do was give him a look and there he was to hold you. As he was at the register, he had looked over at you and smiled such a beautiful smile, one that he never showed anyone. That smile was only for you.

A person flashed by you and suddenly you were back in the basement, that feeling you just had of happiness and security vanished. All you felt was cold and empty, it was the feeling you felt right before you thought about letting go. This god-awful feeling came back, you hated this one the most, this one drove you mad. You sat there shivering, as blood poured out of you, as tears fell from your eyes, the same thoughts kept looping in your head. "I can't believe this is the life I've lived; this was all I got to do, I wanted so much more, I just found happiness... I just found it...and now it's gone..." As those repeated you just focused on breathing. Breath after breath you waited for the one that was going to be your last

"WAKE UP! I DIDN'T SAY YOU COULD SLEEP!"

You jumped awake screaming grabbing at your thighs again. "No more burning, please, please stop it hurts...it hurts!" Goku immediately shot up and pulled the blankets away to show you they were just scars; your legs were not being burned.

You looked down at your legs and let your hands glide over the scars. "Y-you're right, you're right," you said as you held onto Goku. He helped you calm down and scooped you up into his arms laying you on his chest. "It's ok, you're ok, it was just a nightmare"

Your breaths slowly calmed back down until you finally fell back to sleep lying there on top of him. After that you didn't have any more nightmares for the rest of the night.

The morning came in and the sunlight hit you two waking you up. You could hear a commotion downstairs and you knew that Bulma had made it home from her mini vacation with Yamcha. You shot up out of bed ran over to your room and went to your dresser to get the gifts you had made; you were so excited to give them to her.

Goku slowly got up walking like a zombie rubbing his eyes awake, "Y/N, you, ok?"

"Oh yeah I'm fine, just Bulma's home and I really want to give her the gifts I made her"

"Hmm, you're so cute, ok well I'll meet you downstairs I don't want to keep you waiting"

"Ok, don't take too long" you said as you passed him you stood up on your tippy toes and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

Goku was happily surprised by this, he quickly went to get changed so he could meet you downstairs.

You flew to the kitchen, landing right at the entrance, Bulma looked over your way and immediately extended her arms towards you yelling out in excitement. "Y/N! Sweetie, I missed you!"

You ran towards her and embraced her right away, "I missed you too!"

"Wow you girls are so cute; it's only been a few days" Yamcha said laughing.

"Oh, babe you wouldn't understand," she said to him.

"How have you been sweetie? Feeling, ok?"

You shook your head up and down yes, you pulled out the boxes and gave them to her.

"Oh, what is this?" she said as she opened the gift boxes.

You looked on with anticipation as Goku entered the kitchen now standing behind you. He placed his hand onto your waist, and you looked up at him with a smile.
