"SO," Gojo said, looking at the boy sitting in the chair. "What's the big problem with you and Aki? You don't seem to get along. And I can tell it's not just the 'sibling rivalry',"
Nathan looked down at his hand. "It's that obvious, huh?"
"Nathan! Get back here!"
Aki grit her teeth as she chased the boy down the street, her jacket rustling around her. She could see him in front of her; he wasn't much faster than she was, but he had run out before she did. The boy glanced at her over his shoulder before he turned back around, sharply turning a corner.
Aki turned down the alley before the street he went on, jumping onto a pile of boxes before climbing the fire escape ladder. She pulled herself over the top of the building, her feet sliding through the gravel on top. She ran across the top, watching as her brother began to slow down, thinking that he had lost her.
He heard something drop behind him, but before he could turn, a hand was slapped over his mouth. He struggled as he was seized and drug into the alley. He winced as he was thrown against the wall, his back aching from the force.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Aki demanded, pulling the hood from her jacket down. "Are you fucking serious, Nathan?"
"Fuck off, Aki!" He snapped, struggling to get away from her. She pinned him against the wall, easily overpowering him. Her forearm pressed firmly against his chest.
"You are fifteen fucking years old," She stated. "Where the hell are you going to go? Your dad that doesn't want you? Your grandma that called you a bastard and already kicked you out once?"
"I'm gonna find Mom!" He shouted at her.
"Mom's dead!" She snapped, forcing him back against the wall. "Mom is fucking dead, Nathan! Do you not remember being the one to call the fucking cops when she laid in front of you with a goddamn needle in her arm?"
"My mom wasn't a fucking drug addict," He spat.
"Yea," Aki said. "And my Dad must be waiting at home for me, right? Oh, sorry. I thought we were both lying."
"I fucking hate you!" Nathan exclaimed, shoving her back.
"How many times have I heard that this week?" She muttered, wiping her nose.
Nathan glared at her, adjusting his coat as he brushed the dirt off his arms. Aki shoved her hands into the pocket of her jacket.
"You done throwing your bitch fit now?" She asked. "Your pizza rolls are gonna burn if we're not back in the next ten minutes."
