Stranger Things: It Started with a knock in the night (Byler and Steddie)

Last confrontation and a happy ending

"So. What we are?"Will asked breaking the silence. But this time the silence was a comfortable one. Not an awkward one like in the beginning. The boys moved from the floor and climbed into the bed after they ended the kissing. Now they were cuddling. Will was laying on his back and Mike was beside him with his head on his chest, against his heart. Mike liked to listen to Will's heartbeat. It showed him that he is alive and here. He started doing it after Will was saved from the Upside Down and later after the MindFlyer. Mike had one hand on Will's stomach and drew panters on his clothed abdomen and Will had an arm wrapped around Mike's shoulders and was brushing his fingers up and down against his arm. "Because I presume that friends we are not anymore. Because as far as I know, friends don't make out"

Mike chuckled and he raised his head and looked at Will with a soft smile. "Then do you want to be my boyfriend"

Will smiled and he cupped Mike's face. "I will be more happy to be," he said and Mike pressed a small kiss on his lips before he laid his head back on his chest. "I love you, Mike"

"I love you too Will" It was funny. How easy it was to say that to Will but he struggled a lot to tell El. While he loved El and being with her, saying these words didn't feel comfortable to him. But saying them to Will. It was natural. "Hey. I'm surprised that Hopper hadn't burst in and broken up already"

"I'm sure that mom or El or even Jonathan are keeping him away from us"

Steve's parents had left exactly how they had come. All of sudden and without bothering to let anyone know. They left the next day so Steve had picked Mike and Will up and brought them back to his house where they continued to work on Mike's room. Will said that he wants to help as well, mostly because he wanted to spend some time with his boyfriend. Steve saw how close the boys had gotten in a span of a few hours and he was glad that they talked out and are now together. They are pretty cute. Steve even agreed for Will to stay overnight whenever he wants. "But not funny business," he said looking at the sternly. "You are still kids. So don't go any farther than kissing", he said making the two boys blush like a tomato. Well for now he doesn't need to worry about that.

Sunday had come and so did the weekly movie night. When Dustin and Lucas walked inside the house followed by Max and El, they immediately apologized to Mike for what they said and Mike forgave them. Soon one by one everyone was there. "Before we start the movie, I want to tell you, something guys," Mike said looking at everyone. Steve and Eddie were on a loveseat. Robin was on the couch with Jonathan and Argyle. Lucas, Dustin, El, and Max were on the floor in front of the couch, and Mike and Will were occupying the other loveseat. Everyone turned to look at him. Mike took a deep breath to gain courage and grabbed Will's hand. "Me and Will are together", he said and he waited for others to say something. Immediately everyone jumped and started to congratulate them and tell them how happy they are. None of them were mad or disgusted that two boys were together. Everyone was happy for them. So after that Steve stood up and announced the same thing resulting in another wave of congratulation.

The first movie was chosen by Robin and like Steve had feared it was one of that movies that was making him fall asleep in the middle of it. And what was even worse was that apparently, Eddie enjoyed it. The traitor. The peaceful atmosphere was interrupted by a knock at the door. "Does anyone expect for someone else?"Steve asked and everyone shook their head. Steve untangled from Eddie and stood up from the loveseat. When he opened the front door he was met with none other them Nancy. "What are you doing here?" he asked narrowing his eyes dangerously.

"I'm here to take Mike home," she said and Steve fought the urge to slam the door in her face.

"What makes you think that Mike's here"

"It's Sunday night. Today is the weekly movie night. He's always here. And I know that he lived with you these past few days. So. I'm here to take him home"
