Sudden Changes (Undertale Sans x reader)

(Grillbys!) part 3

3 days has passed since the monsters broke the barrier and came to the surface. You don't really mind the appearance of monsters around town but someone seems to really hate it. Your bestfriend.

"Why do you care so much about them being here? we should welcome them." You retorted

"Well, because it's weird having these things on the surface. They're all so new to me and it make's me kind of worried and uncomfortable." Your best friend murmured.

You can't blame them, you know they have a hard time adjusting to anything new. Hell. You didn't even know monsters were real.

You continued to get eggs and talked with your bestfriend the while walking home from the chicken coop. It isn't that far so the talk was short. You let them inside hoping that they talk with you more.

"Oh my god!!" they screamed. It seemed like a.. scream of excitement?

"A mother-fucking-black-widow?! That's so cool! Gosh, spiders are cool!" They pointed at the corner of your dusty and spider web infested wall.

You knew that your bestfriend loves spiders so you let them look at it in fascination as you left the egg basket on the counter. You wanted to change out of your pajamas before heading to the town centre.

Your mother gave you permission to walk around and your bestfriend had to leave so they could eat breakfast before catching up with you.

You looked around town hoping to find something new, and you did! A new restaurant called Grillby's opened up recently. Was this new restaurant led by monsters? You walked in with curiosity and excitement.

All the monsters turned around to look at you. The ones that were talking ever so loudly turned into whispers and stares. This wasn't so welcoming...

You sat down at the velvet cushioned stool, after looking around you saw a human with a short skeleton and a blue jacket. Oh, it's sans and Frisk. You gave them a quick glance before staring at sans.

Sans' eyes met yours, and he leaned closer to Frisk to tell them something. Their face lit up upon seeing you.

"Oh, hello! I'm Frisk! I'm so glad to see you here! Do you not hate monsters? Are you fine with them? What do you think abou-"

"uh, kid, let's not question them too much. they look kinda scared." sans told Frisk.

"oh, hey, you're that person who came to the speech with your pj's." sans chuckled, smiling.

You blush slightly, explaining what happened and how you were in a hurry. You also answer Frisk's question saying that you don't mind monsters being around the surface.

"You don't? Not even after the 6 human souls thing? How the monsters had no choice but to kill 6 human children.." Frisk trailed off

Oh, I really need to watch the news.

"uh, i don't think they knew, their expression seems pretty grave to me" sans added.

You couldn't help but giggle, gosh, his puns was as bad as before.

Sans' face lit up upon seeing you giggle, making him smile.

"Oh! I need to go to Toriel's house for pie now, see you guys!" Frisk waved goodbye.

"Bye!"

"see ya."

Sans and you were talking until a man of fire showed up. You almost fell back from your seat when he approached you. Sans was exploding with laughter.

"Aren't you gonna put this whole place into flames with your fire?" You asked, worried.

Grillby looked at you poker-faced. He slid you the menu and went to sans for his order.

"I guess they were right. This IS the hottest place in town" You said to sans.

"heheh, good one kiddo." sans smiled.
